Canada is much better in my opinion because we respect each other, less racism and well if you want nature we have lots of that too, a much lower crime rate and low poverty. |

Canada. Those who live here know why. Been to the States, a few times. Sorry but wasn't that impressed. People are much friendlier here and cops don't pull you over gun in hand.
AND I can't believe no one recycles down there either.
We aren't as focused on politics as our US neighbours are. But so much has been messed up by their current administration it's really done a number on world economics but especially on theirs.
It's actually worked in our favour, as our economy is continually booming, and in fact they say Canada will become an even greater nation in future. I think there are many foreign businesses taking a keen interest in this country. |

I love Canada. I never lived in the US, so I can't really say which is better to live in, but I would never leave Canada. I guess weather is a big reasona lot of people don't like to live in Canada, but personally, I like having all four seasons. The longer the snowboarding season the better in my opinion. I also like how diverse the landscape is. It's a little bit of everything. I could make a huge list on everything I love about Canada. |

I live in a border town in Canada and i love my Canada. However i have never met such a generouse group of people till i went to Minnesota. I like both countries for different reasons. I have found both ignorrant and wonderful people in both and can't say that i would say one is better then the other. I guess it all depends on what part of the countries you go to. |

CANADA hands down its MUCH SAFER and cleaner and people in Canada have more tolerance of different cultures and ethnicities than americans do
by the way many places in the states border canada and share the exact same weather
New york ,Detroit,,washington .... |

It's difficult to talk about "USA" and "Canada" people and life in California is very different from life and poeple in Texas. Some in Canada Alberta and British Colombia are very differente. I think in general there is good and bad side on each side of the border. |

Your question is somewhat too broad a topic to answer in the first place. Here's the deal:
Geographically and meteorogically (since you talk about being warmer), I would say USA in general. Vancouver of course is a nice place to live considering the above.
Political and Race issues: we better skip this.
Economically : I was discussing this issue with a true blooded, hard core & 1st generation Canadian and this is what he has to say and I quote" our economy is largely dependent on our neighbor (USA) and if they tighten - we tighten 10 folds" unquote.
The reason for the above is basically to broaden your horizon in finding the correct answer to your question since the very essence of enjoying your life either in Canada or USA depends on the means on how you are going to sustain your "better living" in those places. If the means to sustain your good living (even though the place is indeed better than the other) is not so encouraging in the long run and you will come to a point where you have to really work hard to the bones just to make both ends meet.. then your paradise could be your future hell.
I know a family who wanted to settle in Canada because it's a good place to live in (this is physically correct)- that's what they thought as well. They did settle in 2005. Year 2006, they came back. Reason, they have experienced the good facilities of the country, it's sceneries, it's unique topographical features... but just for 3-4 months till the family funds all dried up. Unfortunately, the family are immigrants and neither of the parent's educational qualifications are acceptable in the country's "high" standard system. In short, parents can't find job and if they want to practice the job they have painstakenly completed in their home country - they are not enough and acceptable and they have to study again the Canadian way. You cannot say this as a bad system but rather the host country is just trying to protect their standard. But then again there's tons of issues related to this and the Points System of the Canadain Immigration.
Bottom line, their better life is short lived and turned into nightmare. Again it's the issue of sustainability of your means to enjoy better life.
I know you can decide wisely and good luck to that. |

If you are a leader and have drive the US, because the sky's your limit.
If you are a follower and like to go with the flow Canada, because of the nanny state. |
