alot of racism ?? someone said ?? I can tell you having travelled to many places in canada and the USA that canada HAS way far less racism !!!!
Secondly its gets cold in the winter yes...but many american states get the same climate as toronto !! and sometimes worse ...people get confused with how large canada is and how close many cities are to american cities making the same climates.Toronto is a great place but it has many suburbs ..I recomend the suburbs better than the large cities anywhere.
richmond hill ,woodbridge ,thornhill, oalvill, missisauga and even east of the city like pickering are all nice places to live and at the same time minutes away from the city !
Why don't you visit ?
Maybe in the spring or summer you and your girlfriend can take a road trip through canada !!!
by the way of course you know you have to apply for immigration which is a long process just like someone applying to live in the USA
good luck |

I went there before for vacation, it was pretty nice! Life style is alot different from living in the US. It should be a nice place to live, just like the US they have their good/bad parts. Have fun!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year :) |

Toronto is very clean and the people don't seem as friendly to Americans but I'm from Boston and ppl are known for not being friendly. There is a lot diveristy in Canada but also alot of racism and there is alot of homophobic people which sucks. The food in Canada is good but slaes tax is like 15%. |

Nice country... but most of it is ******* cold :)
I put Oz and Canada way above US.
However, in quality of life, Europe is even better-second to none :) |

It's a good country, yeah, but I would avoid Toronto if I were you. It's basically New York City pre-Guilianni (sp?) with the most conceited, selfish, and self-absorbed assholes in the country. I know of a lot of people here who would run over their own mothers to get things done their way. I'm sure we make the French look polite. Everybody only cares about themselves here. Little off topic, but just recently, we had a gang war on the highway where one car shot at an innocent driver just to get her out of the way. And it'll just get worse.
If I were you, I'd go to Edmonton; Calgary's facing some kind of health crisis thing (I'm not too sure) and overpopulation. Alberta's looking for people in general because of their recent oil boom. It really shouldn't be that hard to look for a job there, considering McDonalds is paying $15/hour with $100 signing bonuses. However, inflation is a little high there, but with the high pay, it more or less balances itself out.
Remember, kids, like drugs, say "no" to Toronto. |
