My Dear Canadians Can You Please Not ReElect Harper? |
Dion although not perfect and no Obama but still better than Harper.
I am only asking this cause I care for Canada |

Well, I'm not sure why Obama was inserted in there, because unless we have dual citizenship with USA, we can't vote for him anyway.
And you ask because you "care" for Canada, but you never mentioned if you are Canadian or not, and what your vested interest is in the campaign. If you care for Canada, there is a reason you don't want Harper elected.
Perhaps if you gave some objective reasons why we should not vote for a certain party, that may give more of a solid footing rather than just a plea from out of the void.
I didn't vote Conservative last time, and probably won't again on Tuesday. My reasons were that I did not trust the Conservatives any more than the Liberals, and I felt it was time for a change.
And once Harper got in, I noticed that he clamped down on information when he was supposed to be promoting openness and transparency. If he did not like the questions from a news reporter or journalist, they were conveniently left out of the next press conference or their questions ignored.
During the campaign, he used attack ads against his opponents instead of promoting his platform. During the debate, he never gave us any concrete details of his future plans, and just attacked Dion with his first breath during the economic segment, the part he requested more time for so it could be discussed in detail.
But because we have the right to vote for whoever we want, I am not going to tell anyone else how they should vote. Some people feel Harper is doing a fine job considering the world economy and the challenges he faces. So if they want to vote for him that's fine with me. At least if he gets elected and screws things up, I can say that I didn't vote for him :-) |

No... I really don't want to elect an Eastern biased, tax raising, idiot.
So I will elect Harper.

You care for Canada??
So do I......go Harper!!

Harper is the only politician who's put money in my pocket each month--that is good enuf for me to re-elect him. I vote elsewhere, there goes my tax rebates for my kids sport activities as well as the universal child care benefit. |

While I cannot stand Harper, i do not see how anyone can like Dion. I do not understand a word he says, he does not speak English.
Go Green Party! |

Nich

I already voted Green. |

even though I though Harper was a jerk last election and I voted for him I won't vote Tory ever again!!!!!
This time around I'm voting either Green OR for the independent candidate in my riding. They suck less than the 3 main parties
Politicians are like diapers and should be change often for the same reasons!. |

no i think i will try my best to have him re elected
I dont care for dions extra taxes
and i will NEVER vote for ndp
and the green party will never be elected
so who is left? |

I think Harper is a tool. I don't think I want him in as the majority ruler but at the same time, I don't have control over that.
NDP will destroy the economy. Layton has run a good campain. I don't share his opinion on a lot of things but that guy I respect. The NDP rep. for my area is a tool so they won't get my vote.
Given what I've seen Liberals do, I'll never vote for them. Unless I'm stoned or completely out of my mind. Dion is not who I want to see "running" the country. I completely disagree with the carbon tax plan.
I don't have anything nice to say about the Green party.
Although I would never vote for the Bloc, I'd almost prefer to have them in power and separate from Canada.
I am voting for the area rep. who has my interests in mind. In my area that is the Conservative guy. NDP is trying to crater growth in my town. Liberals are quaks.
If I could, I'd vote Layton in but keep more of a Conservative twist on it. |

If i could vote Bloc in Alberta I would because i thought Gilles has the most even temperment to be leader. That said Dion speaks terrible english, Jack Layton isn't all that bad but NDP will never run this country and May was a star at the debate but will never run this country either.
Harper is the only person that will run this country this election and we need to give him a majority in order to pass legislation. Minority governments do not work in the country and instead of wasting our time and money we need to give him the mandate to move paper.
Lets face it, our political parties are slightly left, center and slightly right. Not a ton of difference so the choice isn't that big of a deal. |

I care for Canada too. That's why I'm voting for Harper.
Dion's an idiot who has no idea what he's talking about when it comes to this crazy carbon tax, which will make the price of EVERYTHING go up. The environment shouldn't even be an issue, but the socialist parties have made it so.
The Liberals, NDP, and Green are exactly the same thing, with no difference in how they'd do things. They should band together (since they're identical) and run as one party, not three, if they want to have a chance of winning. I hate socialists and communists so I can't vote for them. |

Everything SteveN said in spades, Caps and Bold and then some.
Send Harper a box of Kleenex for his little brown nose and some callous pads for his knees. He will need them when he finally gets up from behind GWB
Edit: Apparently bribes work for Canadian Yummy♥Mummy. Issues do not matter to her. Who bribes the most does. A tad shallow, don't you think? |

If Dion didn't have a plan for a carbon tax, I'd vote Liberal. Now, I probably won't bother voting, because I don't trust Harper, Layton's a joke, and the Greens are a waste of a vote. |

FOR THOSE WHO ARE VOTING GREEN......
you might as well put your ballet in the garbage because they have no chance to win.
if you want to oust the tory's and you live in quebec-- vote bloc quebecois, if you live in ontario and want to oust the tory's you need to vote NDP/Liberal.

If you can take us back in time to 2000, and ensure the vote is properly counted in Florida thus electing a REAL president, then I'll vote for anyone you want. |

As an American I could not imagine Canada with a conservative government and the US with Barack Obama as president...I just got my application for permanent residence in Canada as a skilled worker, and now I am having second thoughts. |
