montreal is my favorite place to go for a weekend trip. my friends and i went at the end of senior year, and since i'd been to montreal many times before, i was the babysitter. lol. i dont drink, so it was no big thing. you can stay at the econo-lodge thats just out of town, and that will save you some cash. and all the good stuff i'm assuming you want to see is on St. Catherine's street.

word of advice, dont give a stripper your phone # if you still live with your parents and havent finished high school. it seems like a really good idea at the time, but its not. no good will come of it. lol. dont ask me why i know that.........

Montreal, absolutely, Starting at the end of June (I assume you're coming at the end of school?!?!) there is a huge festival, a jazz festival, where there are rockin' outdoor concerts every night. The drinking age is 18, if you are looking for lovin' half the people will have sexy French accents, and the Quebec attitude is typically laid-back and politically aware.

Calgary, on the other hand, is very American in nature, and would maybe be a bit more American-friendly. There's more outdoorsy things to do there; Montreal is a bigger, more cosmopolitan city, with less of a focus on mountaineering.

Have fun!

Depends on where you are. The legal drinking age is set by the provinces, Quebec, Alberta and Manitoba all have 18 as the minimum drinking age while it is 19 elsewhere. If you live in the East of the US, Quebec is the place to go although the main language is French - they still speak English. It also has a great French culture so the cuisine is good.

If you are in the West, Alberta or Manitoba are the closest.

Poutine
the drinking age is 18 here (Alberta)
but how far of a drive is that?
Banff, Jasper, Calgary and Edmonton are all great places to have fun.

(Ontario's drinking age is 19.)

carolynnnna

Go to Alberta because the drinking age is 18! If you come to Calgary during the Calgary Stampede it will be a huge party all over the entire city and you can come on the pub crawl I am going on this July 8th. Here is the website if you want to go!

www.stampedeclubcrawl.com

You will get to go to all the best bars in Calgary in one day!
