Well, the road signs in Canada bear the Enlish crown. Maybe you could incorporate that.

Hockey, Mountees.....

It's hard to top the red maple leaf.

In the 1960s Canada had quite a debate over the need for, and the design of, a new national flag. Eventually, the red maple leaf with the red borders won. All of the iconic symbols mentioned by the others who have answered this question were proposed at the time too.

No doubt, your lesson will cover some of the history of the flag, so you might want to read-up a bit. The two sites below could be helpful.

Put a beaver on it. Our nickle has a beaver on it. But keep some red and white becuase those are our colors.

You could just replace the maple leaf with a beaver but I don't know how far that would get you for creativity.

Put a moose with some snow on his back on your flag.

well , as you know, the gov is going to decimate the middle class in Canada and bring us to our knees, So for a flag , it should reflect the lack of professionalism Canada has seen by the elected leaders.

Maybe something that has Niagara falls. It always reminds mew of Canada
