Niagara Falls Entertainment? |
I'm going to Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada in the end of February. I know the basic stuff you can do such as Fallsview Casino, Casino Niagara, Clifton Hills, and the main Niagara Falls tourist stuff. I just want to know if there is stuff i'm missing. I'm going with two other girls and we are all between 20 and 24.
Thank you! Additional Details I'm still researching all your suggestions so I'm going to try my best to choose a best answer, but if it goes to voting I will vote for one of you.
Thanks for all your answers! |

Since you said that your visit is at the end of February and that you know about some places already, there are a few less recommendations I would give due to certain attractions being closed for the season or not trying to repeat your own research.
The Table Rock complex finished up a renovation and expansion Summer 2008 for its falls views. It is also the site of the Journey Behind the Falls attraction and the newer Niagara's Fury attraction. I would add a mention for the Butterfly Conservatory and Bird Kingdom. Each furthers the nature theme set by the falls in their own way.
How about eating a meal up in either of the Skylon Tower's windowed restaurants and finishing with a visit to the observation deck? The meals in the Revolving Dining room start at $26 for lunch and $40 for dinner. The Summit Suite Dining Room's lunch buffet is $28 and the dinner buffet is $35-$40. Those prices include free admission to the observation deck, so that's worth about a third of your meal price. Another meal choice might be to eat at Elements on the Falls in that previously mentioned remodeled Table Rock complex. They boast that they are the "Closest Restaurant to the Falls". Their lunches start at $16 and dinner ranges between $18-$30. When considering these prices, keep in mind that you're at either place for the spectacle and the surroundings as much as you're there for the food.
Along with both the city's casinos, there are other attractions and shopping nearby both of them. It's a short walking distance from Fallsview to the Skylon Tower, the IMAX Theatre, the Daredevil Gallery and an official National Geographic store. Casino Niagara is a short walking distance from an official Coca-Cola store (complete with a full-service ice cream Coke fountain), an official Hershey Chocolate store, the Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood and Clifton Hill. A 2-3 mile trip heading away from the falls on Lundy's Lane will find Canada One Factory Outlets and its 40 brand name (mainly fashion) stores, if bargain, name brand shopping is your thing. |

1. Go to the Hildebrand Winery, only ten minutes away. Take the $5 tour and you get five different samples of wine, including ICE WINE and a beautiful tour!
2. Niagara Riding Stables is only a few minutes away (maybe 5) and you can go horseback riding through vinyards and through the escarpment.
3. Nightmares Fear Factory is really fun and scary.
4. Butterfly Conservatory is a stop along the people mover bus and only 15 minutes away. A warm and inviting place in the chilly wintertime.
5. Eat at Sandstone Grill, great price on drinks and food. Very good stuff.
6. Go on the Skywheel at night.
7. The most affordable, clean and best hotel to stay at is Rodeway Fallsview Inn. (not the regular Rodeway). It is on 6663 Stanley Ave and only two blocks from the falls.
Have fun! |

Yes, you'll be missing out on alot if that is all you do. Niagara Falls is gorgeous and there's so much great scenery to take in. You must go to Skylon Tower to get a spectacular view of the falls and the area. It's great up there. Also visit Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side. You can also take a helicopter tour if you really want some fun. Hope you enjoy your trip! |

a little bit away from the falls is Niagara on the Lake, about a 10 minute drive (if that) and the tour buses go there too. It is a very scenic city with some nice little shops and restaurants. |
