The best time of year statistically is June, as it is the warmest and sunniest. September is also nice, but it has the highest average rainfall, and August will be humid and muggy. So I would aim for late may- early june as the best options. to avoid the biggest summer crowds. :)
Hope this helps, Andrew! |

I went there three years ago, for a wedding, in June and it was nice and warm. Niagra Falls is amazing, make sure you go on the Maid of the Mist... unbelievable!
While your there, go to Niagra-on-the-lake, a small town 10 mins down river and go on the rapids ride! Enjoy! |

Best time of year depends on what you're after. I live 1 hour from the falls so I go in the spring/fall. Hotels are less crowded, less tourists, better prices and its not too hot.
If you're coming from far away, I would recommend the summer, you will pay a lot more money, but its a once in a lifetime chance. The flowers are really nice and there is a lot going on.
Another great time is New Year's Eve. There is typically a street party (family oriented) with a countdown and fireworks. It is a lot of fun. Best of luck. |

Any time is a good time to see niagAra falls
I suggest in the summer, maybe late June
or in the winter time. The Falls look beautiful just after a snowstorm with the mist freezing into ice |

Go around the end of the summer. Or the very, very end of spring. That way it's hot but not too hot. Don't go within the next few months because there's snow there like any other place in Canada. I wouldn't go in autumn if I were you.
Hope I helped |

June/July/Aug is really hot, and Niagara especially can be very congested with tourists, but everything is in full swing, and on the Niagara side, you have all the attractions, lights, street festival atmosphere and plenty to see, like the lights that light up the falls at night, the 'rapids' the whirlpool, the tunnels under the Falls, the American Falls, and so much more...but it's more expensive, both for airfare, and hotels as school children are off on their Summer break, here and in Canada.
Sept/early Oct, I find is a lot nicer, it's pleasant to walk around and at night although a sweater/cardigan maybe is needed for those cooler evenings, it is still warm, plus Niagara is still 'swinging' on the Canadian side for attractions, although some places are starting to 'close down'
By late October, the Niagara season really winds down, for the Winter and weather wise the air is cooler and it starts to get quite cold, most of the attractions are closed, but obviously the spectacular Falls is always there to see.
You'll have such a fantastic stay in Canada, and Niagara is something you'll go back to see over and over, the people are great and the food... wow !!..
I should know my sister is Canadian... and I love it.

May, September or October.
June through August are too crowded, noisy and hot. Those July/August afternoons and evenings are be incredibly muggy with heat indices easily crossing 100 degrees F. |

October, or May are really good times beacuse its not too hot or too cold. In may all the flowers are in bloom at the park beside the falls and in October the leaves change colour. Both times are beautiful |
