O Canada, the more I hear of your country the more I want to move there? |
Will you let me in?
We learned about Canada in geography a couple weeks back and our teacher told us Mexico city has about the same population as all of Canada. I've only ever met one Canadian, and she was incredibly nice. So I'll assume you all are :)
But I want to check out japan first, it's important for me to visit there :)
So, I'll see you in what, 25 years?
じゃあ! Additional Details Youll be gone? That sucks ;(
I think I'll be screwed for a while in the beginning though, because I just remembered you use metrics. Damn you US and you're silly
measurement system! |

I'm not a total canadian (just a little bit), but I've been up there and man is it gorgeous! Oh, by the way, Vancouver Island is almost like Japan and China combined so if you go there, you'd be killing two birds with one stone 8D. Um, no offense to Vancouver Islanders or anything. I think that place is pretty cool with it's Grouse Mountain and high population of cougars!
Anyways, I plan on being close to the border again in 25 years (moving back to my semi-home town after ten years at least). 8D.
nya
EDIT: Not ALL Americans are rude and want to kill things left and right! Hmm............maybe I'm standing on a limb here, but I was taught to respect my enviornment and eveything living in it. I grew up more old fashion than what teens are suspossed to be today I guess. ehh. |

You will appreciate Canada but not every single Canadian will be nice to you. To an extent, there are nice people and mean people in every country everywhere you travel.
But I think in general there are things you will cherish in Canada like nowhere else.
1) The perspective on policy you will get from Canada's Parliamentary multi-party system is incredibly unique and insightful when coming in from USA.
2) The less densely populated country will give you a fresh sense of nature and a more sustainable environment with less fancies and more of what you see around you is built at a community level.
3) You will appreciate some of the farmers markets and small things in life you always passed up in the states and never stopped to notice before you made way into Canada where these things hold more value.
4) You will appreciate the emphasis on free healthcare but probably won't have access to free healthcare unless you become a permanent resident. That's so Canadians get the full value of the system.
5) You will find 4 seasons, unlike stereotypes, it's not always freezing in Canada. Summers are just as warm as the states and the farther north you go in summer, the MORE hours of daylight. It can be real nice late in the evening.
6) When you return to the states after a long stay in Canada, the things you will see on TV when you return may depress you. You will have become unaddicted to some of those material possessions you all along thought were so important in the USA and feel you've obtained something deeper and more community and land based in Canada that can't be bought with dollars and cents and this will make you want to bring others to Canada, only to find others don't seem to care. |

In all fairness, assuming that a whole population is nice based on one person is just as silly as assuming something bad based on one person.
That said, all the Canadians I've known are decent folks, too :) |

Of course we'll let you in. That's what we do here.
Canada is one of the best places to live and you won't regret your decision.
And we don't live in igloos, btw. It's exactly like America except less violent and better looking people!
And free health care! |

I could write an essay on why you should come to Canada. But really this sums it up nicely.

Tell you teacher to check her facts. Is 8,836,045 anywhere near 33,559,000? Didnt think so. Anyway, I hate America too but some dont seem very friendly to welcome American citizens into Canada for obvious reasons (Americans are rude, kill thinks left and right, wast a bunch of crap and many more bad deeds). You didnt specify what country you live in, if you do I can give you a better answer, but first check out http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp |
