You don't really need to. The Canadian dollar is worth about 95 cents US ... or going in the other direction, your US dollar is worth about $1.05 Canadian.
What is likely to happen is that your money will be taken at "par" ... which means your buck is treated just like a Canadian loonie.

Your best bet is to use your ATM card at a bank machine for the best exchange rate or use a credit card. Otherwise, go to a bank or just use the American money at the stores most everywhere takes American money.

You probably won't need to. A lot of places especially close to the border will accept both U.S & Canadian currency. If you use creidt cards not an issues your C.C. Company will do all the conversions for you.

Don't exchange it at the airport. Their fees are way too expensive. Exchange it at your local bank, but call first to make sure they have Canadian currency on hand. Or change it at a Canadian bank when you arrive.

you go to your local bank and ask them to exchange money and they will give you the canadian currency not all banks have that so some banks might tell you to go somewhere else for exchange money.

you can just find a local foreign exchange store or w.e u call it and exchange your money there
