Lady Luck

One week stay in Cambridge nr. Toronto besides the CNN Tower/Niagara Falls what other sights are worth seeing

We only have 1 week in the above area and the two sights already mentioned are pre-booked. Has anybody got any idea of Best Buys to bring back into England. Many thanks in anticipation to all those that respond.

Hi,
There's a lot to see and do take at look at this link; www.city.toronto.on.ca we found it helpful.
As to best buys anything out in Canada is a best buy when your getting two dollars to the pound everything works out half UK prices.
We brought clothing bedding etc and took a lot of the clothing we when out there with to Charity shops to save on excess luggage on the way back.I'm sure you will enjoy it.
GOOD LUCK

I would highly recommend a visit to Niagara on the Lake. This is a stunning little town. It's all chocolate box style buildings with white picket fences. We loved it here and it was well away from the madding crowd. We went on a horse and trap ride around the town and the girl who took us knew absolutely loads about the place.
Niagara falls warrants a whole day as there is actually quite a bit to do there. However, you must walk over the Rainbow Bridge - when you get to the middle you are in between Canada and the US! If you don't want to go on the Maid of the Mist (very touristy but great fun) you can go Behind the Falls which was very fun and you get incredibly wet! Also another must is a helicopter ride over the falls.
If you go for a meal in the CN tower you bypass all the tourists and go straight up without paying. We had a beautiful meal up there with stunning views.

Have a great time!

Casa Loma is really neat in Toronto.
You can buy a Citypass and it allows you to do like 5 things in Toronto really cheap. I know it has the CN Tower, Casa Loma, THe Science center and a couple other things for something like 50-80 bucks. That is cheap if you ask me because the CN tower alone is around 30 something bucks

Take a trip to the Toronto islands if you get a sunny day. You get fabulous photo opportunities there of the Toronto skyline. Also, the whole waterfront area can be very nice in summer, with free concerts quite regularly, and lots of good spots to eat. The skydome stadium do tours which are quite good, and you get access to areas that you wouldn't otherwise. The theatre district has a good choice of shows, and if you like art, toronto has a good museum. There is also the ice hockey museum, and Ontario Place, which is a theme park type place. Visit the Eaton Centre for shopping. Casa Loma is north of the city centre, and quite interesting if you like a bit of history and architecture.
Hope this helps, and enjoy your holiday (I'm going there myself in March)!

Try this site http://www.affiliate.viator.com/brochure/ed_PRODUCT_results.jsp?CITY=TORONTO&L=MOSTPOP&AUID=4274&SUBAUID=null when I just looked the cnn tower was still available. Tour and event wholesalers get a allocation which they sell on over the internet. Hope this is helpful.
