Other than the weather, what are some bad things about living in Canada?

Additional Details
To chika-la-diva: Relax. I'm not an American asking this question. I'm Canadian. I'm not sure what's offensive about the question, but I think we can all agree that attacking people from another country because of my question is not good.

1. Definitely the high price of fuel has affected everyone. Lack of public transit/alternatives in 99% of the country means driving, and generally in trucks or other gas-hogs. The carbon tax on fuel in BC will hit us in July (another 2.4 cents per litre). Unbelievable. The big trucks cost $1000 or more to fill up. The domino-effect of rising prices of food and everything is beginning.

2. Hockey on CBC all bloody winter long. There ARE people in the country who aren't hockey fans.

3. Being unable to buy beer in corner stores.

4. Stereotypes about the weather. It's not that cold in my area (BC) and it's pretty well disaster-free.

Hmmm. I guess that's about it. It's a short list.

the pot holes
(in the streets, in case someones not familiar with what a pot hole is...)
its really frustrating to drive on.

I don't agree with webber about the hockey part. they only show 1 game a week and then the playoffs. its not that much... people who don,t like it can just change channel. although it does suck that they always show toronto games. ew

What makes you think the weather is bad? Some of us Canadians like the cold, snowy weather.

Bad things about living in Canada? Actually, I make it a point to enjoy where I am.

OK the things I hate about Canada
1) the constant never ending debate about Quebec stay or go I don't give a damn anymore just make up your minds and shut the f$%k up about it.
2) French not everyone can learn a second language I know I can't but doesn't make me anymore or less smart than someone who can. So don't limit my career because I can't learn a second language I dropped French because I was FAILING in school
3)Equalisation payments, if you want to live in Joe Bat's Arm Newfoundland than don't expect to have the same services as you would in Toronto. Stop sucking the life out of the have provinces to pay for someone living in the middle of know where. If you like it there don't ask me to pay for it with my taxes pay your own way.
4)Politicians are like diapers and need to be changed for the same reason!!!! 'nuff said.
5)Hockey, for cr$%t's sake I hate hockey please stop telling me that everyone in Canada is hockey crazy. Toronto FC Go you reds!!!!
6)Poutine, cheese turds oh sorry curds and gravey. Barfff
7) Celine Dion, her voice would strip the paint of a car at 20 paces.

I think that is enough of a rant for now,

Gun control, They haven't scrapped that idea yet...?
What has gun control done for us? Just infringed a bit more on our rights and wasted a crap-load of money (ours for the fees we have to pay, and mostly the government's for the whole regulation). Just had to throw this in...

Wow.
I live in Canada, and I'm completely offended by this question.
I really don't see why you American's think your country is so amazing, we have free health care and gun control here.
Whenever me and my family visit the states the first thing you see is empty fast food containers everywhere, clean up a little.
Oh and just so you know, we don't live in Igloos. Our winters usually aren't any worse than yours.
