I am moving with my family (3 kids under teh age of 6) to Canada. I have investigated and looked at the different cities and have minimized them to the following. Can you please advice which you as candians think is best to live in giving no. 1 to the most recommended. Your answer will determine my future. London, Windsor, Halifax, Nelson, Edmonton, Saskatchewan or Missassgua. Awaiting yours with much thanks.

You should consider moving to Ottawa,ON since you have a family,3 little kids below the age of 6.Cause Ottawa is the safest city in Canada and ideal for families, raising kids, their education etc.

Well, Saskatchewan is not a city, it is a province. Of the cities you have listed I would put Halifax first, but you did not say what your criteria are. In Halifax the quality of life would most likely be better than in the larger city of Edmonton for example. But employment opportunities might be better in Edmonton or cities in Ontario. It all depends on your skills and reasons for moving. We need more information to be able to help you.

london-#7-never really cared for Londons geographical location
windsor-#4-right next door to U.S.
halifax-#5-historic naval city
nelson-#2-beautiful small city in the mountains
edmonton-#1-housing sucks though
saskatchewan-#6- lots of small cities here
mississauga-#3-part of the mega-city of Toronto
Hope this what you wanted.

You shouldn't have people over the internet determine where you will live

Mississauga. You can get off the plane at Lester B. Pearson International Airport(Canada's busiest) and feel right at home there. It's a suburb of Toronto on Lake Ontario.

Edmonton,

Nelson, its beautiful, but pretty small. Its a good choice of you like nature hikes, natural things, watersports, or skiing/snowboarding. I would move to kelowna bc, or vancouver bc. it has lots of opportunities and both are growing constantly.edmonton is cold. so is saskatoon, and ontario citys. West coast is the best coast!

If you like small place, lots of people love Nelson. I know a few people who used to live there and would love to go back but can't yet for job reasons. Better check what work there is if you'll need a job, because it can be tough to make a good living there.

I would choose either Halifax (my personal fav) or Nelson (its OK). The rest are alright but I personally wouldn't move there too large of cities but then some like it.

Another couple of places you may wish to look at are Kingston Ont and Ottawa. Both places have lots to offer and are government towns with a stable population and stable jobs situation. Kingston is home to an army base and federal prisions.

Asuming that you meen Saskatoon and not Saskatchewan it is OK too but I really don't have a good impression of the city.

vancouver is by far the best city to live in canada. it was voted the safest, along with some city in australia, and i live here so i have no problem reccommending it to anyone who asks. we have a culturally diverse population, and everyone gets along great. i have no problem walking down the street at any time of day (except for maybe the early morning hours) but most respectable folks wouldn't be out at that time anyways, and the same goes for any city really.

Your just moving to Canada for the hell of it? Wherever you want to live? Sounds like you did something bad and your escaping lol. I am sure any city will be fine and you will like it. Why do you think everyone doesn't live in the same place. You move and you learn to like the place.
