Question for toronto natives?

Well here is the deal, my supervisor said her cousin vacationed over in toronto and had to pay somewhere around 300 dollars for a simple bun and weenie hotdog. is this true, or just tourist's ignorance? If this is possible, how? Isn't the exchange rate near 1 to 1? appreciate the answer for know-it-all supervisor.

Please tell your know it all supervisor to send her cousin to my place next time they visit Toronto. I would gladly sell them a hot dog for the low, low price of $250.

She is either mistaken or her cousin is ridiculously dumb. Either way there is no one in this city selling hotdogs for anything more than a few dollars.

a street dog will cost you aruond $2, for a sausauge, anywhere from $2.50 to $4.

Yes, the CDN and US dollar are almost on par, I believe it costs 1.05 CDN for 1 U.S.

LOL! A hotdog here is $3.00 pretty much everywhere around the city. Sausage on a bun will run you $3.50. Where are you from, anyway?

Mr. P's Person
Well I was in Toronto a few days ago I paid $2 for a hotdog off one of the carts outside of Rogers Center. Lord knows where they came up with $300. *LOL*
