Bite me.
We are proud to be Canadian
Maybe the US would like to be a province? |

We are actually looking to add some provinces. Would any of the sates want to become a province??
Heck, we'll even throw in free health care and a queen! How about it??? |

No.
Puerto Rico is in line ahead of anyone else. And the District of Columbia wants some kind of promotion in status.
Canada has 10 provinces and 3 terrorities, so technically, they could demand 10 to 13 new states be added to the USA --- if they wanted to join.
What would they gain by joining the US?
The Canadian dollar is appreciating vs. the US dollar.
They have a socialized medical system - would they have to share that with the lower 50 states?
They have a seat at the UN and NATO and many other world institutions - which they would stand to lose.
They have an established parliamentary government which I don't think they would want to transfer power to Washington.
Turn the question around: would the US want to become the 13th thru 53rd provinces of Canada, and transfer power to Ottowa?
I don't Canada is interested - they enjoy their sovereign status just fine, thank you. |

Why the hell would Canadians want that?
Just look at health care in the US It sucks!
Canada is fine just as it is,being a part of the US would ruin a good country |

Canada is the largest governed country in the WORLD! Russia (U.S.S.R.) used to be no.1 Now it is Canada. The U.S. can barely handle it's 50 little states.... um....that question is absolutely idiotic. |

No. We don't want to join.
Go do your global domination elsewhere. You tried once and lost. |

Perhaps Canada should be allowed to practice being an independent nation for a bit longer.
After all, Canada was NOT an independent nation in the fullest sense of the word until 1982. Until then it was simply a vassel of the British Crown with no constitution of its own and subject to the Britsh Parliment for its foundational law, the British North America Acts of 1867–1975. |

Unofficially Canada already is part of the US and they know it.
We the US would not stand idly by and let another country threaten or harm Canada, the two countries are to intermingled. So anyone can put a spin on your question but the fact still remains. Admittedly, the health care is better here in Canada but in fairness the countries population (Canada) is equivalent to the size of New Jersey so government run health care would never work in the US. We (US) just have too many people that aren't paying taxes. |
