I'm pretty sure you have to have employment before you move there. They use different currency, but some border areas will accept US money.

Canada is a great country with a warm and welcoming population. I have enjoyed every visit that I have made there. For your information, Canadians do not use United States currency, since they are a separate country. Their bills are different along with the coinage. We most definitely DO Not have the same money as you. However, should you move to Canada on a whim? Not of you don't do your research! You can really offend people by saying something like the question about the money.

Also, it's not as easy as you'd think it is. It's actually easier for someone from a developing country to move to Canada then it is from a developed country. However, it is easier to move from America to Canada then it is to move from England or France, due to distance basically. Also, bureaucracy for moving to Canada is incredibly slow, so it wont be a whim after getting through all the paper work.

do we use the greenback ? The answer is a strong NO (WE ARE A SEPERATE COUNTRY THAN THE USA SO OUR CURRENCY IS NOT THE SAME )right now our dollar is stronger than the american dollar.But is our currency similiar to the fact we call it a dollar , and we have nickels ,dimes and cents then the answer is Yes.
our temperatures are similiar to many places in the states New york state,washington,detroit etc .We have all four seasons ! We're a vast country and many do not live as far or close to Alaska as some Americans believe !
I would not live anywhere else but in Canada...been to the states and enjoy the fact its much cleaner ,safer and less social and plitical issues !

It's not so much of a wim if you're here asking, but I would suggest it. Their money has actually improved against ours recently -- and with the onlook of a major recession in the U.S....I would head for the hills, I mean Canada.

i live in canada for the last 9 years,so i will answer don't come and if you are comming then do not excite too much because canada is not that what most people like you think.It is the place where you will lost your respect and after some time of struggle people (mostly) think to go back,so if you coming be prepare for all these. currency in canada called canadian dollars.25 paise called 25 cents or quarter.My suggestion come by yourself ,if you feel ok only then bring your wife,

If you don't mind colder winters than you've ever seen here in the states. It is not a place that I'd like to be, I'll tell you that. Plus, most Canadians are a bunch of lame-os, why would you want to leave the best country in the world?
