i.e. Traffic |

I dont get it.
Canada is the safest country in the world.
It has one of the best standards of living.
What could you possibly blame canada for?
(other than electing Dalton McGuinty but lets not talk about that little mistake) |

Politicians blame other countries to park their own responsibility for their own ineptitude elsewhere. Its called deflection. Canada, Mexico and Castro take the blame for all things awry.
Americans do not understand Canada. Americans do take the presence of Canada and Canadians for granted to the extreme. Before that wasn't a bad thing. But in the new world it can be.
On the surface when visiting the other nation it looks the same and feels the same all part of what should have been one country. In culture, morality and ethics at the individual level both countries citizens mesh but critical subtle differences in law, justice, health, social programs, politics and attitudes do exist. If something is different then it is easy to blame that.
It is amazing that the new draconian restrictions on illegal Mexican immigration were put in place by the very same economic and political class that possesses cheap affordable domestic servants and nannies. Sort of weird.
Americans blame latinos for wanting to come to the USA when the impoverishment of their home nations comes from the financial exploitation of corporate America. e.g. Chavez of Venezuela is regarded as an evil socialist for putting more of the oil revenue monies into social programs, health care, industrial development in that country. He is diminishing the excessive profits of American owned businesses plundering Venezuelan nonrenewable resources to do this. How shameful.
Canada gets the blame when no other convenient target exists. If it is the failure of the American Health system the fact that Canada has a relatively effective health care system and cheaper must a fault of Canada. No worthy American would blame the clumsy costly Health system on themselves.
Also lets take this in context. Almost every blame game comes from the Washington political establishment. And the blame game gets supported by the idiots that actively support those political pundits. |

biffnasty - if it wasn't for a Canadian insulin wouldn't be available for diabetics.
We also invented plexiglasss, antigravity suits, the electric wheelchair, telephones, snowblowers, zippers, pacemakers and a number of other wonderful things you couldn't live without. |

Don't blame Canada... remember.. if it wasn't for a Canadian, you wouldn't be injoying the game of basketball right now...James Naismith (yes, he invented basketball) was the Canadian physical education instructor who invented basketball in 1891. James Naismith was born in Almonte, Ontario, Canada and educated at McGill University and Presbyterian Cllege in Montreal. He was the physical education teacher at McGill University (1887 to 1890) and at Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts (1890 to 1895). At Springfield College (which was then the Y.M.C.A. training school), James Naismith, under the direction of American phys-ed specialist Luther Halsey Gulick, invented the indoor sport of basketball.
Also, Canada brought in insulin, the first wireless message was sent from St. John's, Newfoundland and many many more!!! |

Depends on what we're taking the blame for. We can readily accept it for:
back bacon
Celine Dion
Pamela Anderson
Brian Mulroney
the notion sex in a canoe is possible
The Porky's movies
Newfoundland Screech
Burning down the WhiteHouse
Wearing black socks (or work socks) with sandals, most notably Birkenstocks
Inspiring that awful poem "Evangeline"
Superman
Beano
5 pin bowling
the Abdomenizer
Standard Time
Trivial Pursuit...... |

keep up the good work canada
and they have also shown us how not to have a health care system...with the sub par doctors, the atrocious wait times, ohhh and while many canadians will tell you its free...it is anything but |
