One possibility is to suggest to your parents that your new friends could come visit you for a weekend. Do you have somewhere like a basement where all the boys could sleep in sleeping bags?

Another is to let them talk to the parents of the boy who invited you. They may have arrangements that would be fine with your parents, especially if another girl is going.

Or if neither of those works, ask if one or both of your parents would be willing to make the weekend outing with you. You could stay in a hotel, but spend some time with your parents and some time with your friends - perhaps you could host a lunch outing with your parents and the host boy's parents and the whole gang, so your parents could meet your new friends.

With the internet and everything, your group of friends is likely to stay in touch over the years, and you won't be totally excluded just because of missing the first reunion. They will understand about having strict parents. Don't think of lying to your parents this time, because you're going to want their support over the years to keep in touch with these friends and with others you'll make in the future.

Whatever happens this time, keep talking to your parents about the camp and about the people, so they can hear about them through you and gradually come to understand that they are responsible kids from careful families and a good influence on you. Is the camp something you'll get an opportunity to repeat / build on next year? Or is there something else for kids with your shared interests that you could start planning for this summer?

Edited to add: Obviously I'm picturing a very different scenario than other respondents. I'm thinking of a camp like Waterloo Unlimited or a church camp, with people with whom you've built sufficient trust already, and a weekend visit that doesn't involve any wandering around alone. Although your parents may not yet be comfortable with the idea of you travelling alone and staying with people you don't know, there are ways to stay in touch now and work towards getting more of this kind of freedom in the next few years.

Here is the long and short of it---- do you want a baby at 15? That is what will happen if you stay with all guys and you will become a gang bang ---- one guy after the other. Stay home with your Parents until you grow up. You're still a baby.

You are 14! Sneaking out to go to the store with a friend is one thing...sneaking out to run to the big city 5 hours away? Well, that's just ridiculous! You have NO idea how many dangers are out there for you! Baby? That's only about 10% of it! What about rapists and killers? 14 year olds are not allowed to travel that far on their own for a reason!

You will need to have your parents' permission, and do your traveling in a safe manner, or you'll be lucky to remain in one piece.

Don't be ridiculous!

I can guarantee you that the guys would not go against their parent's wishes to come see and stay with you... so why would you do something so dumb as to sneak away to see them ?

I'm sure their parents aren't keen on the idea either... that's if they even know about it.

Listen to your parents... they are not being strict.... they just know better.

i would say your sleeping over at a friends house who your parents love. then, get someone to drive you (an older friend?) there and sleep over and drive back!

hope it works

Ooo May Day!
it would be better if u and ur friend who is a girl to visit someone a family related or girl friend related and visit toronto for a weekend, that way u can hang out at cool places and meet guys with.

Sure, do it and you WILL get caught. If the cops catch you first, you're looking at a group home, and those who kept you at their house are looking at criminal charges for keeping an underaged runaway.

Because ur under the age to actually leave home with out parent approval and because they would worry they would call cops. they would then post probably an amber alert and there are now a lot of ppl on here that would hear of a person from ottawa thats went missing and could then tell those cops where you would have gone because ur so young its not suggest to go to toronto alone to people u hardly know. going from home/school to real life working paying rent getting around wont work well for u i think if u have to ask for advice. it shows ur not old enough to do it on ur own yet

Toronto is not the place for a 14 year old to be alone, ecspecially with some random no ones.

there are A LOT of unsafe suburbs of Toronto that people get killed in DAILY.

Wait 2 years till you can drive.
