The last grade in Canadian high schools is grade 12. Instead of SAT's in Canada they have "Provincial Exams."

In Quebec, High School ends at Grade 11 followed by two years of CEGEP (Collège d'enseignement général et professionnel or College of General and Vocational Education)
If you plan to come to Montreal before you complete Grade 12, you may have to go to CEGEP or do a make up year at McGill.
I have given you a link to the McGill Admissions Office that explains the requirements for US Students, and one to the Montreal area CEGEP web site.
Citizenship and Immigration Canada will normally issue a Study Permit if an applicant has received an acceptance letter from a qualified Canadian educational institution, and possesses sufficient funds to pay for tuition and living costs. In some cases, Citizenship and Immigration Canada may require applicants to undergo medical examinations and provide Police Clearance Certificates.

You do know that you have to APPLY and be ACCEPTED as a International student, BEFORE you can " move to Montreal " don't you ???
As a under age minor.......You can't come to Canada, with out your Parents written approval and active financial support. You should NOT expect to be able to go to school here, with out paying for it.
Instead of asking about the school system in Quebec, you need to find out about the Immigration system in Canada.
Canada does NOT allow Americans, or anyone else, to simply come here and go to school. You must apply and qualify, first.
here is a link about how to apply for a International Student Visa, to come to Canada

The people who say grade 12 do not live in Montreal or Quebec we go to grade 11 here then we have a 2 year college which we call CEGEP but coming from the U.S. where you will go to grade 13 I believe you will be immensely qualified to attend Mcgill. The school has high standards but also they are now addicted to the foreign student because of the money they bring in. The last time I was attending i believe that a foreign student payed about 10,000 cdn dollars a year
That is a bargain to most Americans not to mention that Mcgill is the best University in Canada without exception and it was voted one of the top 10 party schools in North America (which means the world) by both Playboy and Maxim magazines. |

School ends at grade 12 here, so yes you will have to finsh your last year in montreal. If you decide to finish high school in Canada, they will take your high school marks from America and your high school marks from canada. I believe they only take SAT scores if you are going directly from an American high school to Canadian university. |
