Well it depends on your age...The beaches is beautiful but you are looking at $1200-$2000 a month for a 2 bedroom. Another fun area is where I used to live is Bathrust / Bloor, there is anywhere from $800-$1400. If you are in your 20's or 30's and maybe single try Yonge/ Eglinton area! Alot of business professionals live there and you can get an apartment / condo for $900-$2000

Good luck!

Bloor West Village is very nice, older houses converted into two or three apartments, renting for around $1000 to $1500 a month, depending on the size and condition, etc. My daughter lives there and they love it - lots of people who are 30 something in age.

Best place to live is the place you happen to like best. Also remember that if you're living far from the Subway line, you're in for a long commute if you have to rely on the TTC busses or any transit from outside Toronto.

Prices for a 2 bedroom can range from $800 to $2000 depending on the area, condition and building. Also, check the neighbourhood and ask around before committing to a place as there are some "bad" neighbourhoods around.

No such place exists in Toronto.

If you had to choose, the annex is nice but expensive. You'd be looking at $1500/month for a 2 bdrm AT LEAST.

Dufferin and King seem to be "up-and-coming" areas that aren't going to gouge your bank account.

Good luck, you'll need it.

If you live outside Toronto it is cheaper like barrie which is only about i hour of go train ride to downtown.

toronto is expensive but the surrounding GTA can be affordable. I've seen nice apartments in RichmondHill for $600 and up.
