1 Canadian infantry man to 5 US Marines
We have far less troops but we train them to equal the equivalent of 1 Canadian infantry man to 5 US Marines.
Now only could we get new equipment instead of stuff that is 45+ years old |

The stone carvers that worked on the gargoyles and stone work of the Parliament buildings in Ottawa were told that they couldn't sign any of the carvings. They came in one night and carved four of the interior gargoyles in their own likeness....to this day they look down on the entry way of the Parliament buildings.

Many seemingly American products are tweaked for the Canadian market. Mountain Dew has no caffeine here, for example. (Though there's now a Mountain Dew "energy" drink that does...) Canadian cigarettes are quite different from American ones, even those sold under the same brand name.
Tylenol #1 (with codeine) is OTC here.

The name "Canada" came from a misinterpretation of the Mete word, "Kainada" which means village. The first settlers to the the country heard the natives calling them to their village and they assumed they were telling them the name of the land. In fact, native cultures don't name countries or cities or anything as they believe a name represent possession and no one can posses the an area of land. |
