Thinking about moving to canada, give me reasons?

So I'm fed up with all the bullshit in the US and I'm thinking about moving to canada, but I don't know much about it. All I know is that canada's a lot more lenient on pot than the US is and that's awesome. So why's canada a better place to live than the US?
Additional Details
Yeah I know pot's still illegal there but I heard that cop's don't care that much as long as you smoke indoors

If you don't have any reasons of your own, this move would be a bad choice.

Actually immigrating to Canada isn't something you can do on a whim. You must have skills in an area where we have an employee shortage or $400,000. to invest or have a job waiting for you. The application process can take years and there are thousands of people in line ahead of you.

The second link explains the Canadian drug laws.

we have great summers and winters, tones of activity's in both seasons. most of us are friendly and welcoming. good clean cities. wonderland. it doesn't take 2 years to elect a prime minister like it does to elect a president.

If you don't know this all ready........

You have to APPLY and be ACCEPTED by the Government of Canada, thru a competitive immigration process. You must have higher education AND actual years of working experience, in a technical or professional capacity, that we NEED here in Canada.

If you best reason to come here is easy pot use/laws , you are NOT what Canada is looking for, in a immigrant applicant.

Here are some reasons:

Pot is still illegal, but there are still lots of 420 friendly people around
Drug testing for an employer is illegal
No death penalty
Gay marriages and gay couple adoption is legal
Common law marriages are recognized like legal marriages
Welfare checks given to bums with no fixed address
Less populated country
Gun laws stricter
Universal health care
Canadian passport is one of the most prestigous passports to carry in the world

Just because you have a degree doesn't mean you will get a visa. You have to have a job offer in a field covered by the NAFTA agreement in order to even apply for a visa. So no you can't come up here and work at Footlocker or a call center...there are enough Canadians who did useless arts degrees to fill those jobs. Here look at this page for a list http://www.grasmick.com/nafta.htm. Start applying for jobs on the job sites if you actually have a degree in a reputable field that is covered by NAFTA and when you get a job offer you can apply for your visa at the border. Look at www.cic.gc.ca for all of the specifics on what documents you need.

By the way my fiancee is an employment councilor and he says jobs have gotten a lot more scarce in Canada lately with this economic down turn that is happen all over the world.

1) they probably have a better school system.
2) i don't think they are bank rupt yet.
3) they don't have mexicans crossing their boarder.
4) i don't think they have a lot of wacko environmental groups.
5) canadians are generally nicer than americans.
6) the air and water are cleaner up there due to
companies being more responsible and not dumping waste
in rivers or secretly burring it somewhere like american companies
did years ago.

Eddie
I've been researching this for the same reason. The following is a major reason, IMHO, to live in Canada.

Only 2.5 percent of the population is black, compared to 13 percent here in the USA. According to census and department of justice statistics, this contributes to much lower crime rates and far better social care systems in Canada.
