I'd like to see what its like up there, I hear its a very pretty city. I prefer to stay in a part of town that is multi-cultural. Thank you.

If you come to Toronto in the summer, there are festivals happening non stop. A lot have to do with culture because Toronto is such a culturally diverse city. Festivals like Taste of the Danforth and Beer/Rib Fest focus mainly on food. Festivals like Salsa on St Clair focus on Latin dance and Latin food. There's also festivals like Caribana, Jazz Festival, and the Gay Pride parade.

There are also lots of attractions in and around Toronto such as Canada's Wonderland, Casa Loma, the CN Tower, Harbourfront, Hockey Hall of Fame, Ontario place, The Science Centre, the Rom (Royal Ontario Museum), Wild Water Kingdom, etc.

Also, there is fabulous nightlife downtown. Lots of restuarants, bars and nightclubs ranging from fairly inexpensive to very upscale and classy. Richmond street is one of the best places for that. It is PACKED with lively nightlife.

Toronto in general is VERY multicultural. However, I personally believe Scarborough (suburbs) is more multicultural than downtown area. I'm not sure which is the best time to come, but probably spring or summer because you get to go to theme parks during that time, and most attractions are open during summer.

It's very nice up here. If you come, be sure to check out CN tower, Hockey Hall of fame, Rogers Centre (formerly Skydome), Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), Niagra Falls, Paramount Wonderland (in Vaughans, Ontario, not far from Toronto and it's a big themepark).

Also, try Ontario Place (a small themepark), the Toronto Zoo (great if you have kids), etc. Science Centre is great too.

If you want to go shopping, try Sherway Gardens, Yorkdale Mall, Eaton Centre, and Vaughan Mills.

Just visited there with friends and spent some time picking spots. Along Spadina, west of downtown, north of the CN Tower is Little Italy and Chinatown. Both interesting. there is a restaurant that sells nothing but Chinese dumplings - great.
September would be a good time.
Sites to see:
High Park (a mini Central park type place)
Centre Island - by Ferry from downtown, picnicy
CN Tower - expensive
Casa Loma
Toronto Zoo - one of the best in North America
Blue Jays game or, in winter the Maple Leafs
Theatre - best in Canada
Niagra wine region (perhaps one hour drive, maybe one and a half in bad traffic)
Niagra Falls, ditto on distance
Harbourfront
Fort York (downtown ish)
Woodbine racetrack
