To Canadians: what do you think? it is not worthy to visit canada in december cause of the cold?

is it gonna be a waste of money? what i m thinking is that i don t want to spend my time there closed in the house, but i want to see things, seightseeing or whatever interesting toronto has. it is gonna be my first time i come to canada, if i eventually decide to come now.

Well, you should have come back in June when it was warm. Or, in the summer when it was even warmer. Or, in the fall when it's comfortable. But, since you waited and waited you can still come now. But, you better dress warm. December is not too bad, but February is very cold. Luckily, there are several indoor attractions, and indoors we are very comfortable. Where do you live now? If it's warm there than you will definitely notice the difference. Send me a picture of yourself. If you are cute I can keep you warm.

I don't know if you should be asking Canadians this. We don't really think of December as cold. Now February, that's cold.
Buy a warm coat and boots and gloves! Long underwear can't hurt either. By no means should you stay inside, but you may want to check out some museums and of course the CN Tower.

Canada is a great place to visit in December. The large cities have amazing Xmas and New Years celebrations going on.
Check out montreal, in december would be great.

As you the ski season is starting. You can go to Banff, Alberta or Whistler BC during that time. Would be amazing!!!

Another reason asking Canadians is risky is that we love it too much and our opinions could be biased.

If you have the right clothing it will be a beauty. For example wear stocking under your jeans. long sock, boots etc. coat.

think layers.

December though, is not too cold.

There's the CN tower, Niagara on the lake is amazing, Niagara falls itself, there are aboriginal resorts which you could visit, and lots more. It really depends on your interests and your age. Search it on google. You'll find some nice places.

depends on who your asking canadian or not ...as many people love winter sports as well

it depends where you go. Toronto is best in warm weather, but Ottawa, Montreal, or Banff (sp?) are best in winter.

well i would suggest that your first time to canada is in the spring then do a month later and then a month later etc until you get to december then you should go in december and stay for a while

Marie
Actually the past 2 Decembers have been unusually warm, with temperatures often about 15 or more (the 60sF). So pray it will happen again. Also, in average years early December is usually much milder than late December.

it all depends on what you call 'cold'. where I live, its been unusually warm due to global warming. There a lot of great places to visit in Toronto. Note: we use Celcius for our weather, so just remember that. Us Canadians call cold what you are probably thinking our January/February weather cold.

Well, it is the middle of November, now, and the temp. where I am is 12c (about 50f). In December, it will either still be mild or about 10 degrees cooler.

Hope this helps.
