The other posters are right - technically all you need is your passport. However, US immigration officials are sometimes cautious about letting new Canadian citizens across the border. They worry that new Canadians may want to stay in the US and work illegally. To avoid problems, I suggest you bring proof of employment in Canada (i.e. a letter from your employer or a contract - if you are in school, bring proof of registration) and other proof of ties to Canada (e.g. property owned in Canada, close family ties in Canada). The immigration officials may or may not ask you about this. In case they do, though, it is good to be prepared. |

Just bring along your passport and answer the questions they ask you truthfully. You should also bring a drivers license or something similar to prove where you live. Travel safe! |

All you'll need is your Canadian passport. If your still uneasy about being hassled, just bring along any papers you have from before you became a Canadian citizen. Im sure you won't need them, but its better to have too much information with you, than not have enough. |

Just a passport is all you need.
You don't need to say anything.
Just answer whatever questions they have. |

Erin L. is correct. Plus, if you drive across you may be asked for car registration. If you fly, bus or train across you will probably be asked to show your return ticket. |
