Toronto Area?

Hey there,
I just had a quick question for all you TO people. I am going to the York Glendon campus and know nothing about Toronto. I've found a place I'm very interested in, in the Eglington/Mount Pleasant area. I was just wondering if this is a good area for a country girl like me to live in. Thanks a million :)

That's one of my favourite parts of the city.
It's a safe and quiet area. There are a lot of quaint shops on the Mt Pleasant strip and, being in the heart of mid-town, the rest of Toronto is within a short subway ride.
I think you made a good choice.

Lucky you. How did you get a place over there. You are virtually next to the campus, The heart of the city, all the
nice eatries, great parks............

You are going to be spending a lot of time at "chicken Delli".
Wait and see

It's a very nice area. I wouldn't mind moving there myself :)

The Yonge-Eglinton subway stop is just a short walk away, there's a 24hr grocery store a block away at Eglinton and Bayview (called Dominion). There are lots of nice restaurants and little shops. It's a bit of an upscale neighbourhood, being so close to the Bayview area and Rosedale-Davisville area.

It's not too close to downtown, but close enough that if you want to take public transit it's about 30 mins.

Sure - that is a good area. A bit yuppish but lots of good resturants and fun things to do.

thts one of the greatest areas...

If you can afford it, it's a nice area of town.

You're just a quick walk or bus ride from the Yonge subway line to get downtown, but also very close to campus. And it's a VERY safe neighbourhood.

Be warned that a lot of things tend to be pricey in that area, so be prepared to spend a bit more in local shops, or go a bit further away to go shopping.
