Toronto, Calgary or Vancouver: Best to visit & best for long-term, possibly permanent relocation? |
Please choose from these three only. There are no other options.
Thanks! |

Vancouver would be my vote.
1) Location is everything--it's close to the ocean AND the mountains. If you like outdoor activities, it's a great place to be.
2) The town itself has many opportunities--you can feel like you live in a small town without having to live the cities. You feel safe, regardless of where you are.
3) There ARE a lot of tourists, but they aren't obnoxious. |

Calgary.....I live near Toronto but the hot spot in the country for economy and jobs is Calgary right now |

I guess it all depends on what you want
down below are the city web sites I would read up on the city's to find what is best for you.
I am in Calgary I like it I just hate the Winters most of the time it gets around -20 c and the odd time -40 c. I say give it another month and snow will be falling yuk. And up above every one is right about Calgary.
Vancouver is probably the most prettiest out of all 3 A lot of rain
Toronto never been so cannot tell ya. |

If you like young and hip, but not culture. Try Calgary. If you like arts and fast paced life goto Toronto. If you are a nature lover and favor being outside and love architecture then goto Vancouver. The idea that it always rains there is bogus, most the entire summer is hot and dry. It is the mild winters (tulips flower in january and february) when it rains. I have to say it is also a very romantic city. Slower pace, great street life and dinning, close to mountains and althletic endevours like skiing. So yeah Vancouver is my #1choice. Best place to go if you hate cold winter. |

the west is the best,i'm from ontario, been in toronto, been in calgary and now for 25yrs vancouver island,Calgary gets to many extremes weather wise, hot and cold, toronto is colder than vancouver in the winter and sometimes snow, vancouver rarely see's snow, but has more rain in the winter, but it's on the ocean and ski hill's on the mountain for the winter,,i wouldn't live east of vancouver ever again |

Toronto - by far. More to do and see. Bigger economy, more jobs, more cosmopolitan, more ethnically diverse. |

Vancouver, very mild weather but cost of living is going up due to Olympics coming in 2010.
Toronto & Calgary have harsh winters |

Vancouver. It is chosen regularly as one of the best cities in the world (if not the best) to live in. |

Definitely Vancouver!
Gorgeous, moderate temps, and not as rainy as everyone says. At least you dont have to shovel rain, and its really more of a series of showers ... not the heavy downpours common in other parts of the Continent.
And if you like snowsports, you can get to the nearest ones in less than 20 minutes, and others in an hour or so. Watersports and boating everywhere. Wonderful parks. It's a "dog" city if you like dogs, its great. |

Take Vancouver, better climate. Toronto thinks they're the centre of the universe. Calgary way too cold in the winter, although if you like wintersports that's the place to be. I live in Toronto, but would like to move to the North West Territory. |

Calgary, - definitely - very clean, jobs everywhere, lots of money, but there is a housing shortage. |
