Toronto (Jane and Wilson)- what's that area like to live?

I'm moving to Toronto, and found an apt. online in the Jane/Wilson area.
What's the area like? Is it safe for a single woman living alone?

Yuck, don't live there. First of all it's in the middle of nowhere - you'd have a long bus ride to get to the subway, and even when you get to the subway it would still be another 20 minute ride to get downtown, and second of all, the area is totally ghetto.

HELLO! since youre single and will be living alone. I suggest you look for a better place to live in. Theres tons of other nice places in Toronto you could live at, I just strongly dont suggest this area. I know, I used to live around the area. Reply back to me as to why! If i write everything here it'll be too long. lol.

Its the part of town where the drug dealers and gang members live, I live there and regret it

My grandma had a saying. "We moved from the country, to the suburbs, to the city, to the ghetto. All without packing a bag." They lived close the jane and wilson. It's an okay area except for the crack heads. Get a couple deadbolts maybe a security system and don't go out at night alone. otherwise you're fine.

Hopefully not on Chalkfarm. The area in general is not the best. So late nite walks would be out. For the most part during the day you should be alright as there are lots of people in the area.

Over the last 2 decades crime has increased in that area as well as Jane/Finch.

Sorry but you asked.

If you're coming from the U.S., Jane and Wilson won't be bad for you. It's not the best part of Toronto, but pretty close to the worst part (Jane and Finch....Finch is 1 major intersection south of Wilson)

Bad as in, there might be 4 homicides a eyar in that area.

It's not horrible by any means....it's alright for a starter until you get a better place, or a nicer area.

snigdha
i wouldn't live there
