Toronto, Ottawa or Vancouver?

Which would you recommend moving to and why?
I like Toronto because it is a big city, but I have heard it is only that, and it doesn't have much culture?
Ottawa is on the border of Ontario and Quebec, and therefore you can cross the river and French will be spoken (which is good as I would love to work in Montreal, but my French isn't good enough), however I have read it can be a "dull" city?
Vancouver has some of the most beautiful surroundings, but it seems too isolated from the other big cities in Canada? Does it ever snow in Vancouver?
These are not my opinions of the cities, just things I have been told or read. So which would you recommend?

Hello Ally! I have lived in Vancouver, Ottawa and Toronto.

If you are looking for entertainment and excitement I would highly recommend Toronto. A lot of celebrities come to Toronto. It's kind of like New york but not right there yet. I am currently living in Toronto and I would prefer living in Toronto then any other City.

Vancouver is a very nice place. It is very clean and has a very nice scenery. Vancouver has beautiful mountains all around, ocean, islands. It is filled with many Asians I believe. The thing I did not like about living in Vancouver though was that it would constantly rain. Mainly grey skies as I could remember and yes, It does snow in Vancouver. Don't forget Vancouver is in Canada and Canada is up north.

Ottawa is a very political place since it is the capital of Canada. I was born in Ottawa and the people here were very nice to me.Ottawa was quiet and has lots of french speaking people. The houses are fairly cheap in Ottawa. Cheaper then in Toronto. The firework are amazing on Canada day especially at the Parliament building. The one thing I dislike about Ottawa is the cold temperature. They have horrible snow storms and it is very very cold.

Dead Day Afternoon
Ottawa is a beautiful city but yes it is quite dull.
Toronto is my hometown and yes it is big and at times cold (the people I mean, not the weather). There is a lot of cultural diversity in Toronto (supposedly the most culturally diverse city in the world).
Vancouver is freaking gorgeous. I felt the same way about it being isolated but it isn't really. You can go to the city of Victoria or the interior to Kelowna, north to Whistler, or you can even take a 2 1/2 hour ferry ride to Seattle. Plus, Calgary is only a 10 hour drive. If I ever get the nerve up I will move out to BC.

It depends what you want. If you like mountains go to Vancouver.
If you like ethnic food Toronto or Vancouver but not Ottawa.
If you want to avoid snow, pick another country. However the climate is very mild in Vancouver. Here is Toronto it was about -19 C ( -2 F) yesterday. Depending on what you call culture, I would say Toronto is second to none in Canada. It has allot of live theatre, museums, clubs, comedy clubs, sports etc.

Cornflake
I've never been to Vanvouver, But I have heard that it is gorgeous!

I live in Toronto, and that statement is incorrect. It has so much diversity. Many people of different nationalities come together, but they all keep their own distinct cultures which makes Toronto so unique.
-It has probably the most oppurtunity in Canada. Whether it be for University or College or careers.
-I live in a suburb, that is about a 40 minute subway ride to downtown. It is easily accessible by many transit systems.

Ottawa I havent been to either, but Im going there next month. I know some people that live there and love it. Right now they are living in Toronto for university and they said their is a big difference between Ottawa and Toronto.

First, Toronto is one of the most multicultural cities in Canada, I don't know where you heard that from.
Ottawa is beautiful and it's right next to Quebec, so if you'd like to learn French it's an excellent place to stay.
I'm going to Vancouver in less than a month and while finding things to do, I think it has the most activity. Yes it does snow in Vancouver but not as much as most other parts of the country.
Personally, being to Toronto already a million times it's not my favourite city, in comparion to Ottawa or Vancouver. I'm an Ottawa girl (I like being near Quebec), so I'd recommend Ottawa but Vancouver is just as nice I've heard (of course it's not near any major cities, unless you go to Jasper or Edmonton).
Hope that helps!

Toronto is like New York but with more snow. It depends if you are moving to a house or a condo.

Having a house in Toronto or its subrubs especially can be hassle. I have a big house an it is annoying really because I have to mow the big *** lawn in the summer, shouvel the big *** driveway, get stuck in my own driveway and shovel out of it.

A condo can be nice, no maintanence but you'll pay 700 a month just for upkeep, which imo is a ripoff, and its impossible to sell one unless it is like a million dollar condo, I know, my brother is a real esate agent and can't sell his condo because everyday they build 10 new condo buildings.

I'd move to LA if i didn't hear it was full of phonies. Toronto is basically the best city in the world but it snows too dam much.

Toronto is pretty much the cultural capital of Canada. It has more arts and culture and such much live shows, its nickname is hollywood north. I'm not really into cultured stuff but there is huge museums and gay commmunities who build alot of cultural stuff.
If your going to live in Canada then live in Toronto its the best city by far. It use to be montreal in the 60s and 70s but they insult anglophones there and their snooty attitudes cause people to stop going there.
