Yes, lol walking is the cheapest...
I travel between Ottawa and Winnipeg quite often. The bus is quite cheap but its about 30 hours by bus. I've never tried it, I couldn't be stuck on a bus for that long!
I always fly, try air canada or west jet. Depending what time of year you are flying prices vary. West Jet is having a 50% off fall travel sale right now...
Hope that helps! |

WestJet is a safe choice. Their employees are reputed to be friendlier than those at Air Canada, and WestJet does not overbook its flights. |

It is quite a hual from Montreal to Winnipeg (the bus site will give the length) but if you've got the time and ever wanted to see your fill of boreal pine forest, lakes, rivers and rocks and a few mooses...
WestJet and Air Canada are the two national airlines. |

West jet costs right now $350 and up one way regular. If you are open on the dates you are flying you can get a seat sale really cheap - you just have to keep checking their web site. Right now for Fri August 1 is on sale for $ 179 plus fees.

Greyhound bus lines regular one way is $208 plus taxes but you can get it cheaper sometimes if you buy your ticket in advance -for this info call 1-800-661-8747 http://www.greyhound.ca/scripts/en/TicketCenter/Step4.asp |

Dont go by bus!!! Someone just got their head chopped off yesterday on the way to winnipeg.
Plane is best, go on a weekday at night time or early morning for the cheapest seats. West jet is a good choice. |

Try Westjet to see if they have a seat sale going to Winnipeg and if that fails try Air Canada although it is rare you get a deal through them.
Considering what happened yesterday I would be a little hesitant in taking the bus. |

The cheapest way is definitely by flight - also the fastest. It will probably be about 400$ there and back depending on the deal. But seriously, its a dangerous citie more murderers there...then anywhere else in Canada. There are soooo many car break ins there - and bums. The police are to busy to help you usualy cause they have too many crimes going on at the same time. You won't find much help for danger -- and you might need insurence for your vehicle. :] |

Walking is the cheapest, usually.
It would help to know where you are traveling from. |
