Traveling in Canada for a weekend. what should I bring?

I'm in a Naturalists group at my local museum, and we're going up to Ontario for a weekend. I don't know what to take though. I know the usual, like clothes, sleepng bag, camera, binoculars, but what else? It's just two days and one night. what should I bring for the drive there? Those who've been to Ontario, anything you think I should bring?

I live in Ontario (Toronto)...a map would be good, a light jacket (since the temps will be taking a dip), an umbrella (showers off and on expected over the next 7 days). Oh, and pack your patience and be ready to wait at the border.

I live near Ottawa, Ontario and our forecast is a high of 15C for Saturday and a high of 18C on Sunday. However, if you are planning on camping, make sure you bring extra blankets!!! Our nights have been quite chilly lately ( 1 or 2 degrees C, and wet ). Be sure to hit lots of Tim Hortons drive-thrus (coffee). Feel free to contact me if you'd like more info on what's around.

If travelling with a car, bring the required repair kit (ie. jack, spare tire and spark plugs, flashlights, manual of your car, cell phone, required sets of mechanical tools, etc.), first aid kit, tear gas cannister or electric shock for self defense.

a jerry can of gas... gas is more expensive in Canada... that and some Canadian dollars from YOUR bank unless you want to be ripped off on the exchange.
