1. Most Canadians live in Canada's tundra region.
F: most Canadians live in the southern part of the country

2. Fishing is Canada's major economic activity.
T&F: fishing is a fairly major economic activity but not so much these days

3. Ontario is the leading manufacturing region of Canada.
T: so far, though with the imminent destruction of the auto industry, perhaps not so

4. The Prairie Provinces do not contribute much to Canada's energy needs.
F: this is a trick question, right? Read up on what Alberta does.

5. British Columbia helps to make Canada the world's leading producer of newsprint.
T: well, since logging and pulp and paper mills dot the province, I would think it does

6. Ontario is Canada's main Pacific port.
F: Look at a map of Canada. Find where it says 'Ontario' then answer the question,

The point of study prep is for you to exercise your brain in learning. Thhe only person who loses when you take this short cut is you.

Good luck with your test, you may need it.

Mug R :

Does your Toronto kitchen have a natural gas stove in it ?

If it does, the gas came from western Canada, vis the Trans Canada pipe line. It brings natural gas for cooking and heating to eastern Canada.

Do you drive a car that is powered by gasoline ? Alberta produces oil and gasoline for all of Canada to use.

So, obviously, you were wrong about your facts, weren't you ?

Jim B. Toronto.

Mug R
Kenoplay is incorrect, Alberta is a prairie province. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Prairies
I still think the answere is true. Ontario, Quebec and the entire east do not get energy from the prairies.
Edit- I meant to say don't get all their energy from the west.
