UK or Canada? where?

I'm just waiting on my medical to complete requirements for canadian temp work permit, i`m a permanent resident in UK at the minute & is due to apply for UK citizenship this nov. i`m expecting to start work in canada b4 end of this year. but if i wont like it there i have 23 mos to change my mind and come back to UK before my permanent residency expires! the reason for moving 2 canada is really family, my hubby`s sis is there and my bro who is in my birth country is applying for work there as well.

although UK has been my bread and butter for almost 6yrs i`m fed up living without them. so it`s really up to you, just weigh the pros and cons b4 moving out. research as much as you can on the province you want to go to.UK is a lovely country (aside from the weather which is crap esp in NI ;-/...) with lots of opportunities for hard working people, but no man is an island..and i`m quite young might as well grab the opportunity to live and work in another (new) country!

Canada is a pretty good place. I live in BC. I would suggest that perhaps you look for jobs that you can do here in Canada and also a place you can live in. If it were me, I would take the chance to explore another country, if you're willing to take the chance.

If you applied for PR in Canada as a skilled worker, it will be more than a few months, probably more like 2-3 years if you are going through the London office. When you get your PR, you have several months to use it before you lose it. You can go to Canada for vacation just before that time limit expires, get your PR status activated, then go back to the UK and continue your life. As a PR in Canada, you would have to stay there for 2 out of every 5 years to keep it so you can stay another 3 years in the UK before you would lose your PR status in Canada. So basically, you can have up to 6 years in the UK to decide if you want to move. By then you could be UK citizen already and then you could go to Canada without worry because you could always return to the UK if you wanted.

The point is, keep your options open and take your time to decide what you want. There is really no rush.

I'd stay in the UK and travel around Europe. Canada is really nice though.

Me and my boyfriend have come to the conclusion that living a normal life is getting increasingly difficult here in the UK and would love to move to Canada.

It depends where you are from. Canada has wide open spaces, great scenery and lots of opportunities. England has proper pubs and the people have a sense of humour.
Those are the differences. Scenery or people. Take your pick.
