United States Citizen Drinking In Canada Question?

I am 19 from Michigan and i want to travel to Canada to drink with friends. I herd that if you don't have a good reason to travel to Canada, they will deny access to you. I'm wondering if anyone has ever done this and if so what reasons did they use or if anyone has any reasons give me some.

thanks!

I have never heard of this, but if they give you problems, say that you are going to a landmark or to visit a national park or something of the sort. They can't deny you access.

Yep, you need a reason for visiting but all you need to say is that you are meeting with friends for dinner and an evening out. It won't be a problem.

I live in Windsor and work at the casino here...Caesars...just say you're coming over to the casino. We get tons of young Americans...I'm sure you won't have a problem.
Obviously, no booze in your car coming over and if you're going home later the same evening, be careful how much you're drinking because, even though 19 is the legal age here, U.S. customs may give you a hard time on re-entry if you're way over the limit.

Have fun and drive safe!

I personally was denied entrance into the US a few years ago because we told them at the border that we just wanted to drive around for a few days and shop and then come back.

It all depends who you get at the border. Better to have a location in mind to tell them and a reason for coming.

Happy drinking!

Why would you want to come here and drink when the gas is more expensive and so is the liquor?

Have your passport in hand, a destination in mind and how long you are staying. They will let you in.

When asked what the purpose of your trip to Canada is, just mention it's for pleasure and that you are coming to visit some friends. They may ask the names of your friends but I doubt you would be turned away. When you drive up to the custom's window you'll notice that they're typing in the licence plate number on your car. They already will have more info on you than you'd expect by the time you say hello.

go to texas...

I seriously doubt that they will really follow up on what you say so just say that you are going for a weeding or to go touring.
