Vancouver, BC?

I really want to go to VC for my 16th, can anyone tell me a little bit about it, though? I've read up a lot but it would be cool to hear from someone that's lived there, or whatever.

Lots to do here in Vancouver!!

Granville Island is an artsy community in the middle of the City, has an Art School, Model train and Model Ship Museum, Lots of little shops, Restaurants, etc.

Stanley Park is an amazing Urban Park. Ride the horse-drawn trolley through it, Walk or bicycle the seawall, visit the aquarium.

The Capilano Suspension Bridge is another must see. Awesome view above it all.

Other places to see are Science World, and the Pacific Space Center, and IMAX theatre.

Gastown has cobblestone streets and quaint shops and cafe's.

Robson street has all the boutique shopping, etc.

See the Public Library downtown, it's awesome, 7 floors in a building reminiscent of the ancient collesium, also has coffee shops, etc in the concourse of the building.

Lynn Valley Canyon is an awesome place too, with a 48 metre high suspension bridge, and it's free. Lots of paths through the woods and along the canyon.

Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I especially like it when there is snow on the hills and mountains surrounding.

Come visit and enjoy!!

Hi. just come back from British Columbia, and spent a week in Vancouver. Best places to visit:
1. Grouse Mountain
2. Capilano Suspension Bridge (just before Grouse Mountain)
3.Robson Street- mixture of high- end boutiques and high street shops and plenty of restaurants
4.Granville Island
5.Stanley Park (inside the park is the Vancouver Aquarium).
If you are not driving, take a big bus tour of the main sites. You can hop on and off and your ticket is valid for 2 days. Transport is cheap..you can buy a ticket and use it on the bus, skytrain abd sea ferry (about 90 minute time limit).
Dennys on Burrard Street...diner with good basic food.
Vancouver is quite expensive, but is affordable if you are from the UK....we stayed at The Century Plaza on Burrard St, but there are better places to stay (check Tripadvisor)
6.White Rock...not in Vancouver, but not far away...great views and close to the US border...you can see Mount Baker
7.Whistler (not in Vancouver)....for snowboarding and skiing.

Vancouver is one of the best cities in the world - I love it there. My recommendations to you would be ...

- Gas Town
- Granville Island
- North Shore Mountains (Grouse, Seymour, Fraser)
- China Town
- Stanley Park
- BC Place
- Take the boat over to the Island and visit Victoria, or Tofino for Whale watching
- If you've got time head up to Whistler

Have a great time!!

Vancouver is an awesome city. Just for starters, the scenery is breath taking. That's why so many Hollywood movies are shot here. Depending on what time of year you come, there are tons of things to do, ranging from rock concerts to rock climbing, and everything in between.
Try to schedule some time at Granville Island, and take the little ferry boat ride up to Maritime Museum - it's a fun thing to do and something a little different. Then rent a bike and ride up to Squamish for the day, where you can watch the climbers on The Chief (a vertical face that is a continuing challenge for world class climbers). Head over to Jericho and sign up for some sailing lessons, and then get set to boogie the night away in the funky little spots in Kitsilano.
Have fun -- and happy birthday!

HIMSELF
Its a great place to visit but I cant help you as I only went to the bars etc.
