Wanting 2 Relocate Family 2 Canada!!?

I am a 34yr. parent of 4, with 2,000 to spend for the move. Is it possible for me and my family to find low income housing until I can find a job in Canada? And is Canada diverse? (will pick first realistic and honest answer as best)

You cannot just decide to move to Canada and do it. You would have to find out if you qualify as a skilled worker and complete that immigration route. You can find info on that at www.cic.gc.ca. You could also find a company that would be willing to sponsor you, but that can be tough since they have to prove that they could not find a Canadian to fill the position that they're hiring you for. I don't recommend packing up and trying to head over the border. You will be turned away... Also if you do immigrate they will not allow you to have public assistance for a period of 3-10 years. You have to have proof that you can support yourself and will not be a drain on society.

Canada is a very diverse country. Its one of the things that makes it great!

Good luck!

Canada is very diverse, but you cannot just decide that you want to move to Canada and look for a job. You have to apply to immigrate and the process is a lengthy one, and will cost some money. Here is the Canadian immigration site, which you need to study. There are various options for immigration to Canada and you would need to decide on which route would be best for you.

To immigrate to Canada you need a skilled trade that is in demand or a family member in Canada willing to sponsor you.

$2000 isn't going to go very far. You'll be very very lucky to find a place to rent for less than $600/month plus 1/2 month's rent for security deposit anywhere in Canada, even the cheaper places, and those are the ones where it will be harder to find a job, never mind a job which will pay your rent and food. Unless you're a political refugee of some kind, you can't just arrive and get low income housing for 5 people. There are usually waiting lists for the little that's available. Yes, Canada is diverse.

you cant just come to Canada to live and work, you need to apply to immigrate
this can be a long and expensive process, you need to have medicals and police checks and all this at your own ex pence......you need to be honest in your application....you say you are 34 with 4 kids
4 months ago in another question you were 30 with 5 kids?

this site will show you the process

Wow, you're brave! Good on you, mate. If you want low income housing, go for somewhere not too populated and yes, Canada is about as diverse in all areas as you can get: age, sex pref, religion, race, politics. Best immigration info and lawyers I've found: Lowe and company in Vancouver, but I think they do visas for all over. They're great. If they can't help you, they can refer you to others easily without prejudice or bad feelings. Good luck!
