You are always going to hear bad things about anywhere you mention. My advice, come here to Toronto, depending on your skills and job training you'll probably get a job very easily.
Settle in and see what Toronto is like. If you don't like it....there are plenty of places across Canada that you could move to.
Remember....Canada is a wonderful country and no matter where you settle, you'll find friendly people and a life that you will enjoy.
Good luck on your move and welcome to Canada! |

When my family moved from Australia, we first moved to a city outside of Toronto...there were lots of resources but my family regrets not living some where else because, although Toronto is a nice city, it is crowded and many immigrant families move there. Living in Toronto is more expensive than other cities in Canada. My uncle lives in Calgary and that is an amazing city. It has lots of resources like Toronto, but it isn't crowded as Toronto. It also has beautiful sceneries of the mountains and isn't as polluted as Toronto. So I think you should move a city other than Toronto because of its pollution and expense of living.
I have nothing against Toronto; it is a wonderful sity to visit =P |

I was born and raised in Toronto. Toronto is a terrific place to live, but you should it is quite a daily adventure for me to rediscover my birth city everyday. There are a lot places to go and see and I can tell you the great places to shop downtown if you do decide to immigrate to Toronto.
If you don't hear from me.............. WELCOME!!! |

Do not go to Toronto. Winnipeg is the best place. Cost of living is the lowest in the country, and the quality of life is just as high if not higher than Toronto. People are friendly and there are lots of jobs, if you want to work.
Some people will say that it's cold...so what?
We may get -40 deg weather for a few weeks in the winter, but most of the time, the humidity is low.....-40 in Wpg feels the same as -20 in Toronto.....humidity factor. Lived here all my life, and I intend to die here. |

Toronto is polluted, expensive to live there, higher crime rate than almost anywhere else in Canada. The money people pay to live there is crazy.... I think if you like tons of people, barely any wilderness, lots of pollution, lots of crime then go live there,... but if you are looking for something different you should move elsewhere. Sorry I dont mean to be rude but I am Canadian and Toronto is a city I hate, there are so many people there it is crazy!
The population exceeds 2.4 million...
However this is just my opinion and many people live there happily. You can learn more about Toronto here and judge for yourself.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toronto |
