What's a nice Sunday driving route in Souther Ontario?

I live in Toronto, but it doesn't have to be close to Toronto. A road with a decent speed and twist would be nice, scenery is nice as well.

I got a nice GT car (G35 coupe), Piloti driving shoes, and a nice girl in the passenger seat. I am all ready to go!!!

The drive to Niagara-on-the-lake is indeed a nice one as you go by beautiful vineyards (worth stopping at...perfect for wine tasting or a nice meal) and farmers' markets. Plus you've got Lake Ontario on your left all the time and you get to cross really cool bridges (especially the one over the Welland Canal). A little further north (about two and half hours outside of Toronto) is the Muskoka / 30,000 island region which is absolutely gorgeous year round - all nature with a few quaint towns scattered here and there (Bracebridge is nice!). Let's see what else...oh yeah going East down the 401 (en route to Ottawa) you've got a number of nice spots such as the Trent Canal (near Peterborough - 2hrs), and 1000 islands (near the U.S. border - about 3 hours from Toronto). Anyway that's my personal opinion...up to you step on the accelerator and see for yourself....enjoy!

Go to Mennonite country just north of Waterloo. If you want twist , go to the Forks of the Credit north of Brampton.

Well, the back roads are really nice--not much traffic. My husband lived in Tillsonburg and was born in Simcoe. They're nice places to go. St. Jacobs is
a fun place to go. Just find a good place to park and hit the different kinds of
shops. Some places give demonstrations and you can find some really unique things. We go to Tillsonburg several times a year and head for Coyles. You can buy a lot of things in bulk. In the winter, around November, Simcoe has the lights. It really is pretty. Check with the Chamber of Commerce when the lights come on. The first night is usually fireworks which is really nice. Another place is Port Dover. There is a Tim Horton's and The Arbor where
you can get the best foot long hot dogs. Just watch out for the sea gulls and
the little birds are very sneaky. That's half the fun. I hope that gives you some
ideas.

The back roads around the Toronto Zoo and into pickering are a lot of fun.

There are lots of places, it just depends how far you want to go.

Mennonite country is a good choice just about all year around. That's a bit west of Kitchener/Waterloo, Don't forget Elmira in that tour. The gorge alone is worth the trip.

It's the wrong time of the year, but the Oak Ridges moraine isn't that far away, and the fall colours there are spectacular.

One of my favourite drives is north from Toronto on 400 to 11 north of Barrie to hwy 60 through Algonquin Park all the way to Ottawa and then hwy 7 back to TO.

Have done this drive in two days and also in four staying in Ottawa for a couple days.

My favorite drive is out to Niagara, not to the falls, but to Niagara on the lake.
Art, culture and wine country.
And if you want more than that, hop up to the falls and hit the casino.
