We have a universal healthcare system.
We have great areas of nature, plus we have very urban areas.

- we're next to the US, so it's easy to make us look good by comparison
- we are closely linked to the United Kingdom (being a Commonwealth country) and as such we are given some level of respect
- our people have national pride, but not jingoistic/offensive pride
- we started the Peace Keeping concept, possibly one of the most valuable assets of the United Nations
- we are an invaluable source of raw material to the world, and if you piss us off, we'll cut off your lumber/zinc/nickel/water/oil supply
- we are one of THE most cosmopolitan countries in the world and we have lax immigration laws - meaning that people can easily move here and find work
- we're not war-mongers... as such our military is not that amazing |

The ability to have humility in the presence of a very powerful nation. We (Canada) are in a very unique situation. Canada is the largest supplier of oil, gas and refined products to the US. We are also the largest supplier of soft wood, agriculture products and electricity. The trade deficit is about $1 billion per day. Yet we (Canada) have a population less than California. We need to continue to be modest and enjoy the parity of the loonie to the $. |

Canada has marketed itslef as the kinder, gentler America. It's not true of course but the advertising has worked. people believ that Canadians are nicer to immigrants (see www.notcanada.com) is clean (see Toronto) and has free health care (only for the poor or the crafty) |
