Anywhere in Canada is beautiful.

I love Vancouver Island; Victoria is a beautiful city but Tofino (just a fairly small village) is outstanding beautiful.

Millions of people visit Banff and Jasper for the incredibly beautiful scenery.

As cities go, Edmonton has a beautiful skyline and the river valley is a great escape (approximately 21 times larger that New York City’s Central Park, Edmonton’s River Valley is the largest stretch of urban parkland in North America and overflows with active living opportunities. From cross-country skiing, hiking, dog walking and fishing to picnicking, in-line skating, kayaking and golfing, Edmonton’s Ribbon of Green offers a diverse range of outdoor recreation opportunities.)

tough call.

I would say Vancouver with a side trip to Victoria and you have (arguably) the two most beautiful cities covered! see the varous previous posters' info)

HOWEVER

depends what you are into - two other possibilities might be:

Montreal - one of the oldest settlements in North America, VERY European lots of culture, beautiful people and very cosmopolitan

Halifax - a smaller city, with a distinct Atlantic culture they have summertime busker festivals, exteremly nice people, the Titanic museum is there and there is some great coastal drives to nearby "New-England" type small towns, either to the South Shore or Peggy's Cove.

Try Kingston, Ontario. It is half way between Toronto and Montreal, right on Lake Ontario. The lakefront is really nice and the downtown is old but maintained and filled with small shops and restaurants. Kingston was the first capital of Canada, so there is also lots of history there. If you like to sail, this is a great place to visit. Kingston is where the sailing competitions for the Toronto Olympics were held. Queen's University is also in Kingston.

Hands down I would have to say Vancouver. And you wouldn't have to take my word for it, ask around the world to anyone who's ever visited there at any time of the year. But summer is the best time as it doesn't get as hot as the other cities in Canada and it doesn't rain as often as it does in other times of the year.

MONTREAL...there are a tonnes of festivals going on.

just thought I'd let you know the cities are not the greatest places to be why not try country places. we have the most beautiful beaches ,trails, accommodations, seafood's that you'll ever taste in your life time.clean and down to earth people.like nova scotia's small villages.everyone greats even you j zwigger.Canada is the most beautiful place you'd ever want to be.cities not really but rural areas you can't beat.

This is a trick question as there are no "best cities" in canada.
The best city can be found anywhere below canadas border. It would be located in a place called the United States Of America. any city there is better than all of canada combined
