In Vancouver it is the hottest, driest and sunniest month of the year. If you love hot and dry weather then this is the best time to visit. Here is a link to Canada's 24 hour weather report:

Cheers,

Depends on what part of Canada you are talking about. If it is western Canada, some areas can get up to 105 F!

It depends on where you go, some places like Nova Scotia its raining all summer pretty much, PEI is gorgeous but it gets very windy depending on where your situated. In New brunswick August is beautiful and your weather can vary between 20 and 30 celcius. Check out www.weathernetwork.com and theres a part of their websites that allows you to view the temperature of any day in the past for any city.

think about the weather in the northern states.. ny..
washington.. new Hampsire Vermont?

whats the weater like in those places?

weather in Canada in August is about the same as those places

Ramona
August in Canada is the middle of the summer. All the typical weather of the season is what we enjoy.

Typically mid 20 Celsius temps.. but can go way over 30.
Moderate rain..

The last week of August is notorious for perfect weather!

It truly depends on where you are going in Canada.. Every province has a different weather pattern...lol.. its pretty funny thanks to the cold and hot trends clashing...lol.. In Alberta, the summer months are weird.. in a 24 hour period you can have.. hail..snow..rain.. sun.. in one day. There is a joke here.. "Wait 5 minutes and the weather will change"... Red Deer is the hartest hit now because of where it sits.. Level and pretty flat so the air partterns like to mess things up a bit more.

Plus over the last 15 years Canada weather trend has changed so much. Edmonton was hit hard with a Class 5 Tornado.. the weather hasn't been the same since then. I was living there when it happened. It was the first to be officially recorded showing ...one 1 1/2 mile wide tornado spun off 5 additional smaller tornado's all at once... Tornado Experts in the US collected alot of Data over that one...... It was amazing and scary at the same time.

Best to look at the Canadas weather site... Even thou half the time its incorrect. Airports have a better set up because they need to zone into their areas.. Like where I live now Slave Lake (forest fires)

Bluelady...
Hello Jane,
I live in Abbotsford British Columbia. (About 45 mins. out side of Vancouver area). They weather is warm, sunny most of the time or rainy. Upper north (Kamloops, 100 Mile House, could be real hot by then) Just check our weather & Camera of all areas)
Thank you:http://www.bchighway.com/weather.html
