Any *government issued* photo ID will help get you through the border. I have seen someone pass through on a costco club card once, but that was due to her being with a large group, some who were her friends. :)
So driver's ID, and passport would do just fine. If only using a driver's license, some other form of personal ID would help you (something with your address on it, even a phone bill.) Just so they know you aren't planning to sneak in and stay, and actually have a home to go back to!

When you come in to canada all you really need is your drivers license or anything with a valid photo of your self. |

You can get by fine with a passport. If you don't have one though definitly bring your driver's licence and birth certificate. They'll only refuse you if you don't have a birth certificate, even though some borders will let you get by with just a drivers licence but considering where you're coming from you wouldn't want to get here then have to turn around. Just make sure you have some kind of photo I.D. with your birth certificate.
Tip: Clean your car before you go! Leave no junk or garbage on the floor or seats. They won't give you such a hassel and it will get you across quicker. |
