Well, you're asking in the right category, Looks like Proud white is another lost American tourist :)
For reserves it's 16. Reg force must be 17 with parental consent, but you can be 16 at the time of enrollment in a junior military college. |

The age is 13-17 Cadets, 17-18 reserves with parental, 18 for army. As for some here who insult Canada, consider we are currently fighting in Afghanistan and have suffered losses. To denigrate the military which has a great reputation among its allies only shows ignorance. |

For the (supposedly American) dolts who made comments regarding the Canadian Military forces .... they are very well trained, highly disciplined, and the military of other countries, including the USA, have all commented on their professionalism.
They have accomlished a lot in peacekeeping missions, and the Canadian forces were key to many battles in WWII. Canada, as usual, has been overshadowed by the US, but it not only has a military, but an excellent one. They just dont flaunt it like their neighbors do. |

You can join up at 18, but if you want to learn about the Army and do some preliminary work, you can join Cadets at age 12. During the year they have regular meetings, learn drill, navigation, driving, map reading etc.etc.etc. and during the summer they go to army camp. |
