What am I not allowed to bring on an airplane?

I will be flying within Canada, but I'm sure it would be similar to the US. I know I can't bring weapons, etc ( not that I ever would) but what about a nail file?

I think you can bring nail files now, but instead of risking it just put it in the luggage that will be checked instead of yoru carry-on. My friend got her lighter confiscated, so those are a no-no.

Can not bring nail files or lighters check with the airline you are taking that is the best bet

1. Any Sharp Objects like knives, scissors, flammable items, combustable items, and some pressurized cans.
2. Nail File, don't bring that and can cause delays at security.

Go and visit CATSA and Transport Canada Website.

Knives, guns, explosive devices, box cutters, scissors, clippers, sharp objects that could be used as weapons, timing devices, bomb making materials.

Check with the airline you will be flying with. In general, nail files still count as a weapon. Sounds silly, but I had a pair of tweezers taken from me on my last trip. Like I was going to tweeze the captain to death if he didn't fly me to Hawaii?

Anything like a nail file should be in your check on luggage just to be safe. if unsure call the airline and ask

a hippo.

Nothing "sharp" like scissors or "blunt" like a bat or "fire" like cigarette lighters or "explode" like a firework or "bullet" like a handgun or "illegal" like weed or "fun" like beer.
