Aly: Canada has provinces, not providences.
As for what to see and where to visit, it really depends on what your interests are. Judging by your question, it sounds like you're mainly interested in hitting the bars. As you are only coming to Canada for the night, Ontario is the likeliest province you would be staying in. In Ontario, the drinking age is 19 although be prepared to present proof of age while in Ontario. Also, whatever you do, DO NOT drink and drive. The last thing you want is to have an otherwise fun time here in Canada completely ruined with a DWI charge. |

I also am from Michigan...near Port Huron, so I've been in Ontario. If you go there, Toronto and Niagara Falls are definite "must-see"s. There is a cool castle near Toronto called Casa Loma. The "Pantages Theatre" is there too..used to be the home of Phantom of the Opera.
There are also MANY amazing wineries between Toronto and Niagara Falls.
Niagara Falls--says it all...there is so much to see and do there. Make sure you stop at the museum where all of the daredevil "barrels" are. It's neat! |

>We are 19 and 20 so will we be able to drink over there?
I'm from MI and go over to Windsor occasionally, and 19 and over can drink. However I don't know if that applies to all providences. |

19 is the legal drinking age in all canada except Qubec,Alberta and Manitoba where the age is 18.
As for where to go you have to tell us which city you're going to |

Toronto is a big place to party, you just have to watch where you go, its the biggest city in Ontario and there's a lot of spots you just don't want to be in, its not safe.
I thought the drinking age for Ontario was 18 but it must've changed.
Yes you'll be able to drink in every province I believe.
Montreal is a pretty good party place to, again you just have to watch where you go, there's a lot of gangs there and there was rioting a couple of weeks ago because the cops shot 3 innocent kids.
My dads been in so many bars and you really have to watch which ones you go into, especially in Kingston, Ottawa and Toronto, you will wind up getting stabbed with a beer bottle if your not careful. |
