What are good places to see/visit in Niagara Falls? |
I had asked something similar but I didn't know that if you picked a best answer, it closed the question. (Still new at this) So, I'd like to get more opinions on where to visit in Niagara Falls. I'm going with my boyfriend and his family March 28-30. I went about 8 years ago but that was in the summertime with my family. So? What should I see and what should I avoid? |

There is lots to see in Niagara Falls aside from the falls.
If you like wine there are many really beautiful wineries in the area.
I was going to list everything, but just go to these sites.

Niagra Falls:
* Visit Clifton Hill! (Very amusing)
* Maid of the Mist Tour (Open during certain months only :( but Im not too sure when.
* It's actually good to explore the outskirts of Niagara.
Hope this helps and have fun! :D |

There are tons of attractions and things to do in Niagara Falls. I'd recommend riding the new Skywheel for a birdseye view of the Falls.
You can also check out the Imax theater, wax museums, tourist type shopping, the botanical gardens or walk the long nature path.
If the Maid of the Mist is open you could always do that, too.
This is a perfect place to spend a couple of days, but I wouldn't recommend it for an extended vacation.
We'vevisited a number of times over the past year or so and enjoyed our time there. I hope that you will do the same |

Well, to start, don't go to www.niagra.com, since the city you are inquiring about is NIAGARA Falls. But aside from that...
Of course you have to do the touristy things first: Take the Maid of the Mist tour, go to the IMAX (there's always one playing on Niagara Falls which is pretty good), go to the Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum on Clifton Hill. But when you're sick of foreigners with cameras, move slightly outside Niagara Falls.
Port Dalhousie is great, and it's still in Niagara Region. They have great shops for browsing, a 5 cent carousel, a beach and the best frozen yogourt if you decide to go in the day, and a great party scene, including lots of patio bars during the evening.
Have a great trip, and beware of the heart-shaped tubs. Just think about the stuff that goes on in there!!! |

First and Foremost Take a long walk, The sites are among the very best in the World. Go to the canadian side, it is much better then the American side. To exchange your money go to either of the 2 Canadian casinos. If you gamble These are 2 of the Most Beautiful Casinos in the world. The Amerercan casino is not as nice as the Canadian casinos.....I recomend the Maid of the Mist, but I believe it doesn't open till April.. There is however Clifton Hill (on the Canadian side) It is a site to behold, It has 12-15 Wax museums and they are all Very affordable. There is also a Spanish Aero Car that takes you accross the Gorge. (It is about 2 miles down on the Canadian side). Niagara Falls is extremely affordable. I go there often. I live in a town 15 miles away. it is the Ultimate Date place!!! ........As for avoiding anything, Avoid the slot machines. They are very tight. Unlike Vegas or AC there is no competition among the Casinos. |

The only good thing about Niagara is the falls once you have seen them get out of there and stay in Toronto.
From Toronto you can do so much more and all trips etc can be booked very easily from the tourist office.
Have a great time ( the falls themselves are beautiful ) |
