Holy smokes, I can't believe some of the answers!

Driving by automobile via A-40 and Ontario Hwy 401, it is a solid 8 hours, provided you don't get caught in a lot of heavy traffic in Montreal or suburban Toronto.

Motor coach or bus probably takes closer to 10 hours because they must stop every couple of hours for breaks, and that time adds up.

Air Canada/Jazz is the only air service currently available between the two cities on a direct basis. Direct flights take about 75 minutes on a CRJ-50, plus taxiing time at YYZ (Pearson Int'l). Non-stop flights via Montreal take longer, becase of connection-times, landing/take-off time, etc. Flights from YQB to YUL are generally on DH8 turbo-prop aircraft (comfortable, safe but slower).

Train...I've never travelled this way to/from Quebec, but my guess is around 10 hours. Check out VIA Rail's web-site.

Human Warnings
between 5 and 8 hours

From Quebec City to Toronto:

By Bus: Express is about 6-7hrs

Train: Direct via Montreal approx 5 hrs

Car: two stops for gas, 6-7 hrs

All of this is approximate due to what time of year.

It depends on where in Quebec you are going and how fast you can drive.

You can take Via Rail train and it will take between 4 and 6 hours, depending on if it's an express train or not.

You can drive in 5 hours.

It's also about a 45 minute flight.

Bus can take between 5 and 8 hours.
