Canadians come from Canada. Americans don't.
But Canadians ARE American. Just like Mexicans, Brazilians, Puerto Ricans, Argetinians...etc
So I'll just have to say that Canadian guys are better in bed. |

There are lots of differences between Canadians and Americans ... I should know because my dad's American and my mom's Canadian.
Let's see...
Pronunciation of words ... my dad says "farest" and my mom says "forest".
What they call things ... my dad calls it "silverware" and my mom "cutlery" also napkins vs serviettes (though that's more in the older generations). Also Canadians tend to pronounce words with more of a French twist. (i.e., foy- er in the US vs. foy - ey in Canada)
At the end of a church service in many Canadian churches the congregation sits down, in the US most people don't sit, they just walk out.
Americans have a lot more national pride, especially when talking to a Canadian.
Canadians are more accepting of controversial issues. (i.e., gay marriage).
Canada tends to be "friends" with everyone. We have a lot of immigration and we don't like war too much. As a country, we are much more passive than the US.
In Canadian schools it is a requirement for all students to learn how to build an igloo, drive a dog sled, and learn polar bear avoidance tactics ... lol not really.
Canadians pronounce the last letter of the alphabet as "zed"
And of course there is the special Canadian "eh". I personally don't say it, but I know lots of people who do. In more rural areas (especially as you head north) people tend to use it more.
In Canada, we use the metric system. Distance in Kilometers, temperature in Celsius, weight in kilograms, etc. (though when it comes to height and weight, most people know theirs in feet and pounds).
The spelling of words ... Canadians use the British spelling (i.e., hounour, neighbour, litre, theatre).
There are many more differences, but I think the biggest is that Canadians don't want to be know as Americans (as in United States of America). We are Canadian, don't forget that! |

Canada uses the metric system (like most of the world does) for everything. Although the US has adapted lots of thing to the metric way, we still stubbornly hold onto the old English measurement system for alot of things... most obviouly, MILES PER HOUR.
On a personal front (since that is how you worded it), Canadians often allign themselves closer to Europe than the US when it comes to things such as politics and religion.
and NO, Canada is not governed by the UK... the Canada Act of 1982 severed all remaining governing ties between them, although they had been quite separate since the 1800's.
although some Canadians have been known to say "aye" in coversation, it is almost a joke more than an actual saying for many. There are some areas though that use the phrase in every day conversation, so we just make like all of Canada uses it.
Then there is the French (eastern) portion of Canada, which has tried to secede from the whole to separate into a French only speaking country. It is pretty weird (IMHO) to have so many French speaking people in a country that is so closely aligned with England!!!!
Lots of other differences, but in general, we are closer to the same than to any other country, even England or Australia. |

there is no difference...other then they say the word 'A' alot and pronounce the vowels: ou a bit different, and they also have a tendency to end their sentences in a higher pitch and american end theirs in a lower pitch |
