Hockey is our official winter sport and EVERYONE watches it at some level or another.
Lacrosse is our official summer sport (but not many people who don't play it themselves watch it much).
We watch NFL football although, in my personal opinion, it's not as good as the CFL brand of the game which only has 3 downs and is therefor a faster game with more passing.
Skiing, both downhill and cross country, are always popular winter sports that lots of people participate in.
Curling is also popular in most parts of the country.
The Inuit even have their own popular northern sports such as the blanket toss and a high kicking contest.

And of course, basketball was invented by a Canadian.
