Probably not the next leader - he's still a little young for that - but after the leader's review next May, when Dion is ousted, someone will be in for the interim, and Trudeau will probably follow him (or her) =) |

Not that good...he's pretty young, probably doesn't have enough experience under his belt yet. 10 years from now...pretty good, if he wants it. |

Zero.
They won't pick a complete newbie like him. Give it ten years. |

As you know we have another Conservative minor government this morning meaning we'll go vote again in a couple of years if not sooner.
A lot of people are missing having interesting debates and politicians at the head of our countries. The baby boomers are still alive and kicking and they remember too well the charisma of Trudeau and Levesque and none have hypnotized the population like they did back then. Yes I think Justin Trudeau will become what's missing in the Liberal party, a leader with charisma. Have you listen to him speak? he is one witty young man! Last week he publicly met Mr. Duceppe, Mr. Duceppe was arrogant and Justin Trudeau through out the meeting was polite and respectful of the man in front of him.
As for Mr. Dion, we all recognized he's a good man with integrity, smart man, highly educated but his problem is that he's too much of an intellectual to touch the population. Mr. Pariseau had the same problem in Québec.
To answer your question. Yes he will eventually become the leader of the Liberal party and I'm looking forward seeing him standing up to confrontation like his father did! Remember, Justin Trudeau is in politics because of all the big sharks behind him like Chrétien. He's heading to be Prime Minister, nothing less. |

It depends on how well he does his job. Because of his fathers fame, and how most people loved or hated him, Justin will be watched very, very carefully especially if he makes up that high in the government.
He's alreayd causeing that love him or hate him thing in his riding in Quebec.. Because of the whole "Trudeaumania" thing, I really don't think Justin will be PM, there's just too much pressure. One mess up and he's done. |

Rae = NDP = Not a Liberal
Ignatieff = Dead Wood = Not a Good Choice
Trudeau = Young = No Experience, Not Popular in Quebec
He will not get the Quebec and Ontario delegates to back him. Chances = 0 |

He's too new. Give im a few years to get wet behind the ear. He is the future PM though if he wants the job. |

Well I hope so. The thing is although Dion had no charisma, I don't think
Ignatieff would have been right for Canada considering his stance on the Iraq War, had he been Prime Minister in 2003 then Canada could be in Iraq now.
Frankly I don't understand why talented people in Canada don't come forward to be in politics, the US had great politicians every now and then, there was Raegan, Clinton and now they are going to put in Obama.
If the liberal party had someone like Obama or at least someone on par with him then they could have won this elections.
What a pity Canada is stuck with Harper. What is wrong with Canadians doing to themselves what the Americans did to themsleves with Bush. |
