I will try to give you an idea but It is too broad of a question. It would be easier to compare cities. I was not born in either country and have lived in both of them. They are both great places. My personal point of view is that Canadians tend to be more aware of other people (they'll make sure they do not bother people by any of their actions, no matter how trivial they are). In the US people are a little less concerned about affecting others. Hence there's a perception of Americans being more aggressive and Canadians being too apologetic.
Another big one for me is that in the US it feels like if you come from a different culture you have to adapt to the American culture. Canadian culture is the result of all cultures together. When people move to Canada they don't have to hide or change their culture (unless any practice goes against the law or bothers people) but share it and be proud of it. I have a very deep respect for Canada. Neither is the perfect society but both are great places to live.
